Each time we visit Cancun we make sure to spend some time at La Isla Shopping Mall. First, it is a 5 minute walk from our resort. Second, they have a store that sells some of my favorite shirts. I can't find anyhting like them in the U.S., so I always get one or two when in Cancun. Plenty of... more

Mall next to the water. They have clothing store name Zara, which some states in the US don't have. Zara is the biggest clothing store in the world. Nice mac donalds with AC and couch. Mall has a bunch of restaurants and shops. more

We went here looking for souveniers. I got a t-shirt for $8 USD, which I think is decent. There were other stores there selling t-shirts for $15 USD. We ate at Planet Hollywood. Their food was alright but I thought the prices were a tad high. They have a river that flows through this mall and it stinks soooo bad.... more

I loved walking around this outdoor mall. It is very nicely built, with the water from the lagoon running through. It has lots of nice restaurants and cafes. We went there during the night and day, it was much more crowded in the daytime. more

Nothing says home like Starbucks, McDonalds, and Hooters. The prices at all the franchise places were pretty bad so don't go to them if you're looking for a bargain. If you want a flea market type experience, check out Market 28 or the Mexican Outlet Store right at the mall. They have pretty much everything you'll find at the flea... more

Having stayed in cancun for 11 days on a family vacation we had occassion to visit L Isla's a few times as it is the largest and most attractive Mall in the Zona Hotelera. However I must admit it was nothing special and was no more than a standard American Mall. Stay away from the "Interactive Aquarium" as it is... more

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said before? The place is like an outdoor shopping mall but with canopies over the main 'street' to keep the direct sun off, but still outdoors. There are some lovely fountains - the kids love trying to run in and out without getting wet, and I love watching them; hubby pushed my... more

I am from Belize so Mexico is right across the border. I have been going to Cancun for easter and sometimes in the summer every year since i was one year old. I've seen many changes in Cancun over the years all of them really for the better, but La Isla takes the title. I think by far it's the... more

Cancun is a great place even without La Isla but with it the magic of Cancun puts it above and beyond expectations. La Isla has wonderful shops, restaurants, and if you like to roam about and window shop over canals and on the edge of a beautiful lagoon, then you may just think you died and went to heaven. The... more

Plaza La Isla is a large modern shopping village with everything from souvenirs, restaurants, aquarium, jewelry, clothing, cosmetics, etc. It's location is in the middle of the hotel zone and is hard to miss. For 65 cents, the bus stops right in front of the mall. The public restrooms on the second floor by the escalators are actually very well... more
