We chose the neighboring hotel—Ambiance Villas—in 2008 because all the reviews said it was the best beach in Cancun. It was. At the time we spotted the more upscale InterContinental Presidente, which shared the same beach, so it was a no-brainer to choose it in 2009 when the cost was almost the same as Ambiance. The Presidente can’t be beat.... more

A few of my friends and I stayed here last week for 4 days. The hotel itself is beautiful with pretty pools and a nice lobby. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of the beautiful beach in front. The location is great as it is walking distance from all the plazas and there's a bus stop... more

I was a little nervous going to this hotel on an all-inclusive as I couldn't find a single review from someone who'd gone on one. Everyone seems to pay their own way. I have to say, if you can find one, book it - excellent value for money! The food and drinks at the hotel are great but pricey and... more

First I would say do not read any old reviews just recent ones. You will waste your time and get the wrong information or overload of information. Check in - Fast and professional Hotel entrance and concierge area - Very nice Hotel grounds and pools - Very nice and clean Rooms - If you upgrade your room to ocean view... more

The Intercontinental Presidente was originally called the Presidente Cancun built in 1988. At that time, it was a premier hotel. Now, with the new all-inclusive hotels and time share hotels in Cancun, it is your typical first-class Mexican hotel. This was my fifth time to Cancun; previously staying two times downtown and two times on the beach. Would I stay... more

We just returned from our stay at the Inter Continental Presidente with our 2 young sons and had a wonderful time. While the hotel is clearly an older property, the beach, pool areas and service easily make up for the unassuming rooms. We upgraded to Club Level rooms which were large, very clean and comfortable. Our balcony was equipped with... more

I have only stayed at all inclusives in Mexico prior to this trip. I wasn't sure what to expect and always expecting the worst, I was very impressed with this hotel. I was able to upgrade my room to ocean view for a mere $25.00 per night which then included breakfast buffet for 3 people. The room was clean and... more

Rooms: older and unpretentious but clean and comfortable. Lagoon view (or basically boulevard side) was not bad, but if you want to spend a little bit more on the ocean side - it might be worth it. Restaurants: inside - not a gastronomical delight but very decent. We used them for breakfast and for occasional lunch and drinks on the... more

I wanted to surprise my wife for my birthday and our anniversary and was secretly looking for hotels in Miami. While browsing on Orbitz I clicked a Cancun link on their website and have changed my decision with a blink of an eye - we were going to Mexico for the first time! It took me two days to decide... more

We loved this hotel & service & highly reccomend it -- but take heed: Warning!!! They will hound you to death about taking a 90 minute presentation "Not A Timeshare", & will tempt you with a free massage or coupons for free meals/drinks in return for listening to the presentation. They LITERALLY LIED to us - the total time after... more
