My wife and I returned last week from a four night trip ending on Thursday, May 21st….and let me say that this vacation was the best we have even had! The Cancun Hilton Resort was recommended by my friends on flyertalk.com and we received a very good rate for an excellent room. We had a huge terrace and excellent view.... more

I was surprised by the poor service of this hotel. It took a long time to do the checking process and the room that was assigned initially was the worst room ever. Never get a room in the first floor of this hotel, specially in the left side. Beyond the fact that it had view to a terrace and no... more

We drove up to Cancun to the Hilton (I am a Hilton Honors member) on a whim to end our trip. We can up from Cesiak, an eco-lodge south of Tulum and where looking for fresh-water showers, clean, comfy beds, and a place to clean up and relax before we headed back to Portland. I called from the road and... more

For those that have cancelled their vacations due to fear of swine flu, you should have gone it was your loss. I trust the USA. I really don't believe that if we were in such danger we would not have immediately been restricted from travelling with no more than a canned flier being handed out at the airport and that... more

I am going to try and make this simple: Airport: You will get hosed by the taxi/shuttle service to your hotel. It will cost about $15 US per person for the shuttle. I paid $50 US for a taxi for my wife and I. A taxi will get you to The Hilton in about 15 minutes TOPS. The shuttle...it is... more

I feel compelled to put down my review for the Hilton in light of all the hubbbub about violence in Mexico and now, unfortunately, swine flu. We stayed here 4-18-2009 until 4-25-2009. We arrived late due to the fact that there were terrible storms in Houston. We got in about 11:00pm. Wihtout double checking first, we were placed in a... more

We booked a night at the Hilton Cancun so that we could take an early flight back home without leaving Tulum ridiculously early. Rather than take a Sunday flight back, we took a Monday flight and saved mucho $$$ while squeezing an extra day out of our vacation. The hotel is among the closest to the airport. Thanks to Tripadvisor,... more

I was here for a conference. Cancun is not my cup of tea, full stop. Prefab resort catering to mass hordes of holiday makers (almost exclusively US), with MacDonalds, Burger kings etc everywhere and all depressingly un-Mexican. Added to this - huge international Hilton-type faceless hotels are not somewhere I would part with my own cash for. However given those... more

I booked a 3 night stay (May 1-4, 2009) through Continental.com. Apparently the hotel bookings at Continental.com go through Travelocity.com. On April 27, 2009 (4 days before my arrival date) I decided to cancel because of the Swine Flu epidemic. Continental Airlines allowed me to cancel the flight reservation to Cancun without penalty. I contacted Continental.com who in turn called... more

My family and I made our 13th trip to Cancun and our 3rd stay at the Hilton and it was great as always. The Golf Course was in perfect shape. We upgraded to a junior suite which was really outstanding with a beautiful balcony with Jaccuzi. The infinity pool is really spectacular and most importantly the service around the pool... more
