If you are a thrifty traveler and want to be in the hotel zone (ie: you are not primarily traveling to experience Mexican or Mayan cultures) this may be the place for you. Pros: A couple of blocks off the hotel zone highway (literally) On the lagoon - not the ocean, but a nice view. Quiet pool and lounge area... more

I am writing this review because I used this website extensively researching rates and hotels. This is the perfect budget hotel if you want to save a few bucks but don't want to be too cheap and pick a downtown hotel. When going to Cancun you really don't want a downtown hotel. This hotel is a 20 minute walk from... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the bathroom a little bit "old" , but clean. This is a budget hotel, do not accept too much, you will get what you pay for. About a 30 minutes walk from the centre , 10-15 minutes from the closest beach (you can... more

This hotel is great if you are on a budget and don't mind not being on the beach. I took my 17 year old daughter and her friend for a week in Cancun and it was great for us. The room was plain but reasonably clean and felt safe, yes the beds are hard. We liked having the fridge and... more

The best advise I can give anyone staying here is to go with an open mind. It is not as glamorous as some of the hotels you will pass in the hotel zone, but to all those who slated this place seem to have forgotten it is a fraction of the price. If you are planning on having a holiday... more

staff were nice. around the corner were great little shops for lunch or breakfast. one had yummy toasted croissant sandwiches, another great shrimp tacos, and another for cheap cheap breakfasts. which is good cause the kitchenette didn't really work for us. i brought our own egg flipper, read another review that said not much in utensils, but never used it.... more

We had planned to stay at the Imperial Laguna for one day at the start of our vacation and one day at the end of our vacation. Our first stay was great. We got there in the afternoon and check in was a breeze. Service was great and our two rooms were in good shape. We had no complaints, especially... more

My family traveled to cancun for spring break last year and had planned to stay at the riu palace until we found cheaper airlines to leave a day early. Unfortunately the riu was booked and after seeing the pics of the hotel, we decided to stay there. We arrived in cancuun in the late afternoon and we got a taxi... more

We stayed at Imperial Laguna for one night before moving onto the Cancun Palace - we came in around midnight that night and didn't want to waste the all-inclusive for that day. I was actually very scared to go there after reading reviews (after we booked the hotel). I had read that it was in a crack den - I... more
