Stayed the weekend of Jan 12 to 19 2007. Well where do I begin. This place by any means is NOT A RESORT, plan and simple it's a HOTEL. If anyone pays more then 1000$ including taxes PLEASE listen to my advise and spend a few hundred more at a nice RESORT. If you find a deal under 900$ and... more

It is unfortunate that the information on the hotel was not reviewed prior to travel. This hotel is represented in all venues as a Downtown Hotel with beach club access to Oasis Palm Beach or Oasis Cancun. For a fraction of the cost of a beachfront hotel or resort, you can enjoy all the amentities at this hotel along with...

OKAY ....... Like Tyter from Texas.... I also just recently returned from OASIS AMERICA however!! I have to totally disagreeeeeee with his review.... Perhaps his review would be helpful had he took the time to truly experience the resort (rather than going out all the time) and by purchasing the all inclusive, rather than paying for meals My age range... more

Thank you for your kind remarks. This hotel offers so much more when using the all inclusive option. So many choices with the Oasis Runaway, many people truly miss out. Glad you got the full experience!

We just got back from staying in Oasis America, Cancun. We paid about $750 USD, room only, for 7 nights by booking thru Cancunfirstclass.com. For what we paid during peak, it was decent and clean hotel. It is located in downtown, and the hotel zone and all the beaches are just a 6.50 Peso bus ride away. It is also... more

It is unfortunate that you did not get the full Oasis experience. While the all inclusive seems limited at Oasis America, the inclusion is all the restaurants and bars, pools, beaches, discos, etc., at three other Oasis resorts all located beachfront. With the Oasis Runaway, when traveling on an All Inclusive package, you can enjoy more than 20 restaurants and...

My friend and I just returned from this hotel, and after reading all of the negative comments were extremely nervous about what we would find when we arrived. I have to tell you, it was EXCEPTIONAL. The hotel itself is beautiful and the service there was better than its sister hotel, Oasis Cancun. Oasis America's employees were attentive and helpful.... more

My friend and I just got back from Oasis America last week. There is no sense of being in a resort when coming to this place. It seemed like the hotel was catering to very very quiet families as when there were finally more than 10 people in the bar talking, security came in to "break it up". They threatened... more

My fiance and I stayed here in June of 2006. The hotel was well-above our 3-star rating expectations. I came there expecting the hotel to be fairly poor value. However, the rooms were cleaned daily, although our AC unit did leak, but that got cleaned the minute we informed the hotel staff. Having balcony access was rather useless because there... more

All I can say is, if you're looking for 5 star, stay at a 5 star. We stayed at Oasis America realizing that we had booked at a 2-1/2 - 3 star hotel and were very impressed with what they had to offer! I don't go on a trip to spend time in my room so as long as the... more

Before you read on I do have to say we only stayed at this hotel one night due to a flight being canceled. The whole experience was the very worst I have ever experienced with a hotel. The front desk people were extremely slow... told people various unhelpful info etc. The hotel bar was a plus.. however when you got... more

Went down for a week starting March 21/05. I've seen numerous travel companies rate this hotel, anywhere from 2 1/2 to 4 stars (it's about a 3 star). A big plus about this place is the serving people in the restaurant. They were geniunely friendly, hospitable, and a pleasure to talk to. The negatives were the front desk- they didn't... more

this hotel is away from it all, it's in the downtown district away from beaches and and everything nice. no beah, balcony view is of crappy buildings. the staff here was bad, and they took our plane tickets nd wouldn't give them back. They claimed they lost them. They act extremely rude and pretend not to see you, as if... more
