Went to Cancun for the first time with our three small children. Stayed here through RCI, and absolutely loved the accomodations. The staff was wonderful with the children, and we really enjoyed that it was a bit quieter than the Royal Sunset. We can't wait to go back, but we feel robbed by the Sunset affiliated timeshare sales people. After... more

We visited the Sunset Lagoon with our 2 twentysomething daughters and had a super time! The rooms were spacious and clean (although no way would the pullout futon-like couch be comfortable to sleep in for a week). The service was great and the food was pretty good..breakfast was awesome and the lagoon-side snack shack was fabulous...great guacamole and lunch. The... more

I traded in my 5 star RCI Gold Crown resort in Cabo San Lucas for this 4 star resort which is supposedly Gold Crown. I am still trying to figure out how they managed to get this title as the facilities are quite far from what I would expect. The rooms are outdated, and the kitchen is a joke (... more

We were very concerned about staying at this resort due to negative feedback that we read on the internet. But that changed as soon as we arrived. The staff had a welcome pary for the guests on the first night and included my kids as part of the show. They thought it was great. We enjoyed the jungle tour, and... more

To start I was very nervous about going on this trip due to my obsession with reading others reviews. From what I could tell it was going to be up to us to make or break our trip. Our ride was at the airport just as promised. Nice clean van. We were met by a charming lady that explained our... more

We went Feb 21-28, 09 through an RCI exchange, 2 adults, 3 kids. The two bedroom unit is HUGE! Two floors, 3 baths, really nice. The resort is small when compared to others we've stayed at but nice/clean. Nice sand, clear clean water, hammocks, nice pool. The boat to Royal (sister hotel) great. Breakfast great. We declined the timeshare thing,... more

We will be back By using the boat provided you can combine the Lagoon with its sister hotel the Sunset Royal and then you have all you may desire. I would recomend hooking up with others and renting a yacht for 4 or 5 hours and sharing expense. Comes out to about 80 usd tops for a fun trip. Make... more

My wife and I attended a sales pitch at sunset Royale and under the ussual high pressure sales we decided to purchase the deal. Although the ameneties are very nice, the contract and sales team are deceptive and full of loopholes. I am a SCUBA instructor and my entire family dive. I told the salesman that and wanted to be... more
