I just felt the need to add to all the other wonderful reviews. The resort is immaculately clean and the staff were beyond accommodating. We had a two bedroom unit that overlooked the pool and the Caribbean. We could not have asked for a better view! Fish tacos from Pacos Tacos at the resort were great. The Thomas Moore desk... more

The royal Islander is a great place to stay. The hotel offers great views of the pool and of the ocean from most of the rooms i saw. The staff was great and very friendly. The hotel has good ammenties and what they dont have you can take a shuttle to any of the other Royal Reosrts on the island... more

We stayed at the Royal Islander 6/6-6/13, were impressed with the staff attention to cleanliness and groundskeeping. Disappointed that the beach was unusable, but they have a free shuttle that goes to the other family resorts, and the beach at the Royal Sands was great. They also had transportation (free) to a sister resort in Playa Del Carmen, which was... more

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Islander from May 9th - May 16th and I must say it was a great experience. We first arrived at noon time on the 9th and we were greated by our concierge Dante and he was fantastic. Check in time usually isn't until 4pm, however, we were able to check in once... more

We stayed at Royal Islander and the place was great. The service was excellent and all I saw were smiling faces that wanted to help find whatever you needed or wanted. The room was excellent with a great view of the ocean. The room was serviced everyday and it was great. The location was excellent. It wasn't far from downtown... more

Other than the Swine Flu scare (which forced a shortened time in Cancun and at the Islander) and absolutely no beach the Royal Islander is a good value. The staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way to help. Compared to other time shares seen this gives you lots of room, especially if you take both the A... more

We stayed at the RI for the week of our honeymoon as a gift from my parents to use their timeshare. We are both international travelers and have pretty high expectations and were met with a fantastic resort upon arrival. We had a very smooth check in and when we arrived in our rooms the maid had left swans in... more

We own 2 weeks.... one week at the Royal Sands and one at the Royal Islander. We only went the 1 week this year...we stayed at the Royal Islander and that was a good choice considering there was no beach. We are not pool people and had to stay at the pool all week. The ocean was just too dangerous... more

The Royal Islander is a nice resort with very comfortable accomodations and a great staff. People return here year after year. The restaurants are top notch with very reasonable prices. There are a few scheduled activities which make for a fun day. HOWEVER, the beach is not usable. I had read reviews that said that there were rocks and it... more

We stayed at the Royal Islander from Jan 31 - Feb 7 this year. This was our third visit to the "tri-royals" in Cancun" (I have benefited immensly from information on TA and wanted to give a little something back--this is my first review). We had an oceanfront villa-two bedroom. We love the hospitality and excellent service that we consistently... more
