We used my family's RCI week for our honeymoon in October 2006 and chose Royal Sunset like a shot in the dark. We faired pretty well. It was nothing fancy or remotely luxurious but it was "nice". So, if you are looking for "nice" go for it. If not, spring for a luxury hotel. You get what you pay for.... more

We stayed here our second week in Mexico through RCI. This resort was not at all comparable to our first week at the Mayan Palace, which was deluxe. The Royal Sunset is a 3 star at best. We had the opportunity to stay at this property. What a hassle. First booking our trip was very difficult. Their DOS was very rude and insulting., they should fire him.
