We fell in love with Akumal as soon as we arrived, and SeaScape (La Sirena #1) is the perfect place to stay. It's a first-floor unit that looks out onto Half-Moon Bay, and you can walk right out from the patio and go swimming/snorkeling anytime you want to - no stairs, driving, or hassles. We stayed at La Sirena Iguana condo #7 on the third floor Feb 25, 2007 for about a week. Great view of the bay, but no air conditioning, just ceiling fans. A first floor condo on Half Moon Bay, steps from the exquisite Yakul lagoon, around the corner from Akumal, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a snorkeling beach outside the door and a crystal clean lap pool to boot. I'm glad I didn't see the previous review before I rented this apartment or I would never have made the reservation. What a mistake that would have been! As far as this condo goes, don't believe what you read online. The beautiful view is shielded by filty windows that are corroding out of commision. The faucets throughout were in horrible shape and the shower barely worked. Each of the La Iguana condos are not owned by the same folks, so this is not meant to be a slam... more
