We have been to several Riu hotels and this is by far the best. The staff is amazing, the hotel is perfect, the ocean is incredible... Our room was a corner suite with a wrap-around balcony. Great views. The best dining can be had at the Krystal. Everything is very tasty. The other options are very good, including the buffet.... more

How anyone can find fault with this hotel is beyond me,service, staff, food etc,all excellent. All i can say is that some people must go away to find out what they can complain about. The only fault i could find is that the entertainment side needs looking at,as for the musty smell, never experienced it once. more

Let me start by saying I cannot believe how many negative reviews have been written about this resort. I have been to Mexico many times and found this resort to be among the top destinations that I have stayed. Having said that, each trip I try to upgrade a little bit to meet the needs that weren't met the previous... more

My husband an I have just returned from our honeymoon at the Riu Palace. This hotel has to be seen to be believed; from the minute we walked into the lobby I was impressed. It certainly is a palace!! The staff are amazing and simply can not do enough for you. They work so hard its unreal. As you finish... more

I have only good things to say about this hotel: - location is very good, nice restaurants, good food, relaxing atmosphere, nice staff and very nice room (deluxe suite - ocean view). Also, my best regards for Rodolfo (he starts at 5.30 pm until 12am) - the best bartender from Riu! more

Hotel: Inside a nice hotel and Location. Staff: Terrible and unfriendly. Don't say thank you after you give them tips. Front desk not very accommodating. My room wouldn't get cleaned until 5pm. Food: Terrible. Worst then any other Hotel in Mexico. Beach: No shade at the beach. more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Riu Palace Las Americas for 2 weeks from the 10th - 24th June 2009. I would consider myself to be well travelled and have stayed in many 4 / 5 star hotels worldwide. Check-In We arrived at the hotel at around 5:30pm and were instantly seated at a table in the exquisite Lobby... more

My husband and I both agreed that this was our best hotel experience ever. The staff was amazingly friendly and attentive. They made us feel like royalty. The room, hotel, and grounds were immaculate. This hotel was an all inclusive paradise. more

Overall, great experience here back in 2007. I look forward to going back one day. A very grand experience - all first class. It's too bad such a great hotel is located in Cancun, which is not a very nice place. I would go back just to stay here, though. Only negatives were restaraunts were hard to get into for... more
