Overall, great experience here back in 2007. I look forward to going back one day. A very grand experience - all first class. It's too bad such a great hotel is located in Cancun, which is not a very nice place. I would go back just to stay here, though. Only negatives were restaraunts were hard to get into for... more

This will be a pretty long review: If you are seriously considering staying at the Riu Palace Las Americas, Please Read Carefully. I just got back from my honeymoon trip which lasted 8 days at RPLA. This was my 3rd trip to Cancun in 3 years and once I saw the location and facade of the RPLA on my first... more

Wedding – After months of research, we chose this hotel for our beach wedding, and all the research paid off…the wedding was absolutely breath-taking! Since the Cancun beach is public, I was really worried about sunbathers being right next to our ceremony, but there is a pretty rock formation where they have the ceremony and they do a great job... more

My husband and I booked the RIU for a long weekend over Fathers Day. We had a great stay and would go again, however, there are a few things that I will comment on. If you are reading this, you are trying to gather all the info you can to make a good decision on where to stay in Cancun!... more

As many of you TripAdvisors readers have likely done already, I did my research too before my visit: you know, you get over informed about this hotel and others before booking. I had high expectations and virtually knew from the websites what the rooms lobby, pools, and restaurants looked like. Everything lives up to once's expectations, the place is grand,... more

This hotel is amazing. From the moment you arrive you will love it. The reception is very grand and the staff make you feel very welcome, giving you cocktails on arrival. The rooms are beautiful, very clean with a well stocked mini bar. The view over the pool into the ocean is amazing. All of the restaurants in the hotel... more

The room was lovely, tidied every day with fresh towels daily, good size bathroom 2 massive beds together and a sitting area with couch and television. The balcony was a good size, 2 sun loungers and an excellent view. The hotel pools... more

Me and my Girlfriend returned home on the 17th June and we are looking to book immediately for next year. The service is nothing short of phenomenal, they can't do enough for you, I am positive if they could do the toilet for you they would. With seven restaurants it is silly to eat out as all are top quality.... more

First off I would like to say this was a great trip and resort to stay in. We went from May 15th-19th during the time when people were scared of the H1A1 virus (0 confirmed cases in Cancun to date). I will say up front my girlfriend is Mexican and spoke Spanish about 90% of the time to the people... more
