First, me and my wife are late 20's executives, we travel for our jobs and are very snotty when it comes to service and where we stay. Sad, but true. We had a wonderful stay. My friend was getting married and we were joining the celebration. The hotel created a beautiful wedding. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in the Casitas (section 31) end of the resort the week of June 22. From the time we walked in, greeted with a glass of champagne, to the time we left, it was absolutely amazing!! Hopefully this will be a user friendly review, and in my opinion an open and honest account of our time at the hotel. Then visit this resort. One of the best holidays we have had. Wonderful, breathtaking, out of this world. My husband and I stayed at EDR for our 2 year anniversary after spending a wonderful honeymoon here in 2007. We arrived after a long flight (following flight restrictions being lifted after the swine flu outbreak) and were greeted by very friendly staff. Disregard the negative reviews of this hotel. We stayed in the Castita section and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is so friendly and the food was great. more
