I would agree with most of the positive comments already made earlier, particularly the excellence of the staff. Just to add that if you are a keen tennis player,the onsite coach Jesus, is very good. He charges 100 usd for four hourly plus lessons, and this is good value as he provides excellent advice, practice and support. On a negative... more

Just returned after week's stay at El Dorado and so enjoyed it we hope to go back. Will start with the negatives - Travelled with Thomas Cook, never again. So mean (wont be surprised when they start charging for using the toilets), so cramped (not sure what you do with your legs if you're above average height), inedible food, and... more

This was a return trip for us. (A follow up to our 2001 Honeymoon) We upgraded our room, upon arrival, and were extremely pleased with our decision. We ended up at the more quiet end of the property. I have been meaning to write a review since my wife and I returned from our honeymoon in early July. We had an absolute blast, and this is mostly attributable to the fantastic staff. Day trips to Tulum and Xel-Ha, were easy and fun. Dining at the resort was inclusive. but not buffet style. There were 5 or6 dining areas and you could order off the menus at each one. more
