My husband says he had the best lobster pasta ever but everything else was ok...its a very pretty place so I guess we had too high expectations. Service was not good...we had to call his attention several times. more

We enjoyed our dinner at La Madonna in the La Isla Shopping Plaza. The decor is really strange, but nice. Gigantic statues, all around the main room and a painting of the Mona Lisa that takes up an entire wall. But after my initial thought that it was strange, I became comfortable with it. There are several intimate ables for... more

I'm a tough grader. My husband runs a restaurant / entertainment business in Boston. The fact that this is rated #46 in Cancun speaks well of the dining scene there. This food was very good, service was excellent, and the atmosphere great. My young sons had a pizza and pasta pomodoro - both delicious. Adults had a spinach, pancetta, mushroom... more

After seeing other reviews, we were looking forward to a high quality meal. The service and surroundings were good, but the entrees were very disappointing. We had the fetuccine with shrimp and it was drowning in a brownish sauce, not particularly appealing, with very few noodles ("slop" was a good description). The other entree we chose was a risotto that... more

Ate at La Madonna last Friday night with my husband on a recent trip to Puerto Morelos. Had eaten there 7 years earlier and was so impressed with the food and atmosphere that we had to return. Upscale establishment, but everyone was dressed casually. Our waiter was attentive, pleasant and made great suggestions about the specials that night. The drinks... more

We ate at this restaurant at the shopping mall across the street from the New Westin, Lagunarmar Ocean Resort in early December ( Dec 5-12) and the service and food were very good. Service was very attentive and we had a cupon from the Westin for welcome drinks which were cosmo martini's. We went here twice during our stay and... more

My boyfriend and I ate at La Madonna on December 3, 2008. After a week of all inclusive meals from the buffet, we were really looking forward to a nice dinner from a menu. Our waiter Samuel walked through his favorites on the martini list. But there was no pressure to purchase one. Our service was top notch. We sat... more

We went to this restaurant over a year ago and loved it. when we returned 2 weeks ago, we definitely wanted to try this place again. However, we were somewhat dissapointed. First, the server was extremely pushy trying to get us to order one of their specialty martinis. All we wanted was to order a bottle of wine which after... more

The ambiance is quite interesting and the service is attentative. But we felt prey to a wine list scam. Original wine list offered a modest red wine for $40 US, but when the bill was presented it cost $400 US! We requested the wine list and the higher price was listed. Our food for six adults did not cost that... more
