It's the best paella I ever had in my life! I'm California based and I can go back to Cancun just to eat paella at Mocambo. more

My three sisters and I ate at Mocambo's on August 15, 2009. It was the absolutely worst meal (and most expensive) of our Cancun trip. We had the lobster, obviously, since they are known for this. We didn't even recognize the meal when it came! We tried to eat it, but eventually gave up and left. The cost was $45... more

Me and my girlfriend ate here from a tip from one of the locals. Well I will say the ocean view from the dock is wonderful with the ocean air in your face and your literally right on the water. The server was very nice and the drinks were great. Here comes the problems 1. Our appetizer was a shrimp... more

We went to Mocambo's because we were told it was economical and very good. Well, it was all of those things. The food was good, but the service is why you go. Our waiter was wonderful. They had live jazz musicians and once he found out it was our honeymoon he had her play a song for us and we... more

I really can't imagine ANYONE rating this five stars. I've been going at least annually to Cancun for 20 years and my family and I did not enjoy this restaurant. Service was poor and no one enjoyed their plate. Our two appetizers were not popular with anyone at the table. The reasons for dissatisfaction are the following: food was severely... more

We came here because of recommendation from TA and my brother. The view was poor and nothing spectacular. We had the combination lobster, shrimp, tuna, and salmon for two. The lobster was very tiny and had more shell than meat to it. The tuna and salmon were over cooked an dried like jerkey. Overall everything was extremely salty. And this... more

We ate at Mocambo's two years ago and enjoyed it, so we made a return trip. We ate with an ocean view and had a great grouper filet. Be sure to pick up a free drink coupon from one of the many vendors trying to sell you an excursion package or from the concierge at your hotel. more

We stayed next door at the Fiesta Americana and wanted to eat outside of our resort. I really wasn't very impressed with the food. My husband got the surf and turf and said it was mediocore. Service was very slow. It was so windy that we couldn't enjoy the view. We would not return to Mocambo's. more

My friend and I had an amazing afternoon, dining on lobster, (bisque, salad & two whole lobsters) drinking a great, crisp white wine, at an ocean side table, with the best possible view of the gorgeous, turquoise ocean. The service was impeccable and everyone, from the maitre d to the servers, provided total attention to detail, and we couldn't have... more

We used the reviews to do as much research as possible for our 5 day trip to Cancun. If you like having a sabrero shoved on your head while you are eating so they can sell you a picture, eat warm raw oysters and a concaucsion disguised as a caesar salad then they place is for you, othewise stay away.... more
