My boyfriend and I ate dinner at the La Habichuela in the hotel zone first and we both enjoyed it. The atmosphere was neat. The food and service were great. The prices were about average for a nice restaurant. We decided to try the original La Habichuela for dinner downtown. We ate in the outdoor garden area which was gorgeous... more

When we walked into the restaurant, I was initially impressed. It is tastefully decorated, very modern and overlooks the lagoon. After we were seated, it took at least five minutes to be acknowledged. We were seated near the bar, and the bartender felt bad that we sat for so long and came over to take our drink order. When our... more

I would probably rate this restaurant 3.5 stars if I could. My family of five dined there on Saturday August 15 We arrived there around 8:00 pm, and I have to confess we were a little bushed (tired) by the time we got to the restaurant. There were about 4 tables seated when we arrived. We chose to sit in... more

You may need a taxi to find this restaurant. We were shopping at Mercado 28 and went here for lunch. What a great spot! They have a nice garden setting for evening meals, it was too hot outside for me at lunchtime. I had squid tails stuffed with ground shrimp, octopus and spices with a deep rich sauce. If you... more

Our party of nine had a variety of meals, including steak, fish, shrimp and lobster. Everything was excellent and the service is exactly what to expect from a top restaurant. Bring your appetite because you'll want to try many of their dishes, and their portions are large. There are two locations - the original downtown location and a newer one... more

Went here with my wife and my parents. Absolutley wonderful. Sat inside by the window during sunset and had the best ahi tuna ever. Steaks and Seafood are top notch here as well as the service. Very romantic outside patio/garden. I am so glad that they built another La Habichuela in the Hotel zone so you dont have to go... more

Based on reviews, we had to try this place. We ate there for our 20th anniversary and I have to say it was beyond our expectations. I had the Cocobichuela, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Manuel was our waiter and he was excellent. The Caesar salad prepared at tableside was the best. Definite must... more

My wife and I were spending our last night in Cancun on this past Sunday night and were at a loss for a dining experience that would include some Yukateka cuisine. Based on a tip from the staff at our hotel, we decided to try the new (2 months open) La Habichuela near La Isla Mall. The exterior was inviting... more

My family and I (wife and 4 teenagers) went to the new La Habichuela in the hotel zone. If you are going expecting to have their "cocbichuela" you will be disappointed as I was. The food that we did eat adn that was recommended to us was excellent. The food was fresh, appetizing and hot. My son and a daughter... more

The food is wonderful and the servers are very attentive. I had the seafood parade, which is a mix of lobster tail, shrimp, and grouper for $49. My husband had the house special which is a coconut filled with seafood in a curry sauce. We ate in the garden and had a fantastic time. Don't miss out! more
