 Back from Playacar Palace

Just returned from Playacar Palace Mar 10-17th. Loved it! Have stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace and Moon Palace and visted all the others for the day. Playacar was so convenient to 5th ave., Cozumel Ferry, nice beaches nearby 2 bldgs from Senor' Frogs...lots' to do! Staff was the nicest I've ever encountered at any Palace resort! It's smaller than Moon & Spa and you get to know your waiters, bartenders etc. and they take really good care of you! food was great! Guacamole available most everywhere........my BIG weakness!!

Had an awesome room right over the ocean........ Met some great people there from Canada but forgot to their their e-mail address, so if they read this.....write back!

Open to any questions about Palace resorts. We've been member for 4 years and love it.

Just returned from MPalace. How were the variety and quality of restaurants in comparison. Is there golf? How far from airport?

Is there still no beach at the PP resort itself? I'd love to go there this summer with the kids, but we do want a beach with loungers right at the resort.

We actually loved the size of Moon Palace; different strokes for different folks I guess.

I would love for you to post a comparison of all the Palace resorts after your visit to the one you had listed. We were talking about which one to go to next and loved the number of a la carte restaurants and variety at MPalace.

we were at playacar in july last year. the beach was small but yes there was one at that time. we watched the reviews for a couple of months before and when i started there was no beach. they didn't put chairs out there but its just a few steps from the pool and was nice to sit by the pool and go to swim in the ocean then back to the pool for a drink. the only complaint i would have about taking kids there is that it is small and there might not be enough to keep them occupied and if they are older watch the bartenders we watched a group of young teens and preteens drinking shots at the pool bar one night

cjjames, great pics! Been keeping my eyes on the reviews. This sounds like a super place!

Penny I agree with you, I want loungers in the sand! Hopefully the beach will come back!
