Did you visit any of the other Palace resorts while you were there? Could you compare the Sun to Beach and Cancun? Can you give us a review?

You don't need reservations for any of the restaurants at the Sun Palace.

There is internet access. You can use the computer in the lobby which has a slow dial up connection for a fee.

The tours I've taken were Ek Balam, Isla Mujeres, and Chichen Itza. I give the Isla Mujeres tour an unqualified thumbs up. They take you on a boat over to Isla Mujeres where you can stay at the private strip of beach that the hotel chain owns. They serve a really excellent buffet lunch there. You can for an additional fee go swimming with the dolphins or snorkeling. The trip to Chichen Itza is also one not to miss as it is a truly amazing place. One word of caution here though. The place is hot, really hot, and no water is provided on the tour so take some bottled water from the hotel with you, at least two bottles per person. Also the tour will say lunch is included and it is. But they don't serve it until 3:00. At the breakfast buffet ask for a to go box and they will give you a small cardboard box which can be filled with things from the buffet, rolls, fruit etc that will tide you over until 3:00.

After Chichen Itza I found the tour of Ek Balam to be kind of boring.

Nope, no Corona but they do have Dos Equis and one other brand that escapes me. Those are kept stocked in your refrigerator along with Coke, Coke Light, Sprite, and bottled water.
