Michelle, since you are from Dallas, you should check into the charter flights that leave out of DFW. Ryan Air, Champion, etc. You will get cheaper prices on airfare on a charter flight than a regular flight usually. And they fly directly to Cancun with no stops. We usually pay an average of $225-300 each for a flight to Cancun during the summer and fall months. Little more during holidays.

Also, you will not regret staying at the Omni. It is a beautiful resort, has a great beach, nice spa and workout facilities, wonderful service and good food. On the all inclusive you can eat any meal ala carte if you wish. You are not limited to a lot of buffet meals. They also have a huge Jacuzzi bar right on the beach - it's alot of fun! Have a great vacation.

Divegirl- how in the world do you get airfares that low? I'm in the Dallas area and I never find flights that cheap anymore. I checked everything again yesterday, including charters and the lowest I could find was about $479. Is it because I have to have Sat to Sat? If you have some tricks- please share!

I did a little looking. Didn't know your exact dates so I put in 08/01 - 08/08. On Funjet.com I got a price of $1170.80 for the four of you. This doesn't include transfers from air to hotel. Round trip transfers would be another $13/pp. Flight times are not the best: Dallas to Cancun 3:30 - 6:pm, Cancun to Dallas 6:45 - 9:30pm.

Yes, weekend dates the fare will be higher. Travel on Wednesday or Thursday for both outbound and inbound will yield the lowest prices usually.

We use worry free vacations alot. Their website is www.worryfreevacations.com They use Champion charter service. Very reliable and very affordable. I usually check several places to compare with the rates I get from worryfree, and in 8 years, I have not found anyone cheaper.

I feel like i'm going to bust with excitement. I just got a really good vacation package from price line for $1300. The package includes Airfare with north west airways+Hotel at Omni resort+car. My boyfriend and I are going to have a great time. We'll be there for 7 days, 6 nights and I just can't wait to leave on tuesday June 28th. Any suggestions?
