 BOB *Breathing Observation Bubble*

Last year my boyfriend and I did BOB while in Cancun and had a great time. We are going back to Cancun this Saturday and want to do it again. I was just wondering how come I never see anything about BOB at all on this forum? Is there something I should know about? Someone I know said she thought it was dangerous...Is this true? Is there a reason why no one ever suggests BOB as a fun thing to do in Cancun? Any Info would help! Thank you.

Hi - My boyfriend and I are visiting PDC in September this year and he really wants to do the BOB thing when we are there. I'm not so sure as I have a "slight" fear of being under water! What is it like? Are you completely enclosed in your bubble? I'm worried that it will let in water!!! Where is it that you do it? Is this the same place that you can go on the submarine?

Sorry for all the questions, but you are the first person I have heard mention it other than me!!

We experienced BOB when we visted Xcaret, it was amazing.. loved it. It did not seem dangerous at all.

BOB looks like a little yellow motorized bike. You are submerged 35 feet underwater. Two scuba divers go down with you and let you hold things like star fish, sea cucumbers, ect... You are not completely enclosed, your head is in a bubble that looks like an astronuat helmet which is pressurized so you can breath normally but the rest of your body is out in the open sitting on the bike which you can turn on and off and steer in which ever direction you want to go. You also have the option of purchasing the pictures taken of you while you are under the water. We did and they turned out great! I hope this info helps!

We booked our trip through apple vacations and the representative at our hotel told us about it. The boat we went on was out of the marina right across from the HUGE Mexican flag. Who ever you book your day trips through can probably tell you where to go.
