Does american express have travel insurance included? I don't see where to add trip insurance.

I have always found most prices to be close unless a last minute deal type of thing.

The best way to get a good deal is to play with the dates and not go the tradional Sat. to Sat. By avoiding weekends and traveling Monday to Monday we got a good price in May when booking for October. The airfare is usually the biggest variable.

I am from the old school and use a travel agent too as valuble to have a contact person to call if a problem with your flight, hotel etc. You may save a few bucks on a .com site but for me, not enough to get my business.

My opinion, which comes from a very reliable source( the Cozumel forum), is that the best deals come from the charter companies such as funjet, atusa, and mlt. Hotel prices will always be around the same price at the various sites, but the big savings come from the charter airfare when bought as a package, especially last minute deals if the flight does not fill up. It is a gamble, because if the flight does fill up, the prices will go up, or the flight will be unavailable.

The Cozumel forum is always reliable, for they have no fun and are very serious about their topics. They have very little banter, and no interesting characters such as Poppa......with the exception of CO Pilot54...wearer of black socks. Now that would be an intriguing battle of wits.

You can add trip insurance with AmEx Vacations when you use the vacation tab instead of the hotel + air tab.
