We are planning a trip in October to Medford Oregon. Not planning to stay in that town, but don't know what to do are where to go. Help!

Go to historic Jacksonville just 15 minutes away.

Old "gold strike" town. Good recreational shopping and food.

Yes, I live there but won't be out hosting.

And our old brewer, Veit Schutz, was a fine one by

all accounts. But Veit is gone as is his brewery and

"gymnasium" (on the second floor) for the hearty exercise

of the German immigrants. I have to get by with Camusi

and Grossman's fine Sierra Nevada.
