no those shots are out..lol but i'll tell you what, when i get there i will drink yours and you drink mine when you get there..lol thanks fo rthe info on the scooters as me and my wife want to check out cozumel on scooters , i heard its pretty cool ridings them around site seeing.

Its pretty cool if you dont get injured or killed. Much moped traffic on Cozumel and many accidents. Problem is, many of the drivers are either school kids with no license or people with too much to drink. The locals handle the mopeds and the traffic fairly well but a different story with the tourists not used to the traffic.

When you drive along what we called the "Mexican Autobahn" you see many of the memorials for people who have died along that road. The people there drive 80-100 miles per hour (not kidding). I remember when we were ther in Feb. this year we saw a family of 10 on one scooter! I could not believe it! If you want to drive around the island, you'd be safer taking a cab or maybe even renting a jeep. You can also check to see if there is a tour. Good Luck and be careful!

I wouldn't rent a scooter...Just rent a car if you're coming into CanCun...Renting a scooter is like asking to get run over or to wreck it... not the same as the keys or cozumel at all....

Bummer....hubby and I rented a scooter on Coz. in Feb. No problems.....tons of fun.....for the first couple hours...after that I wished we would have rented a jeep.

If you do this, go with an appetite for fun and food, stop off at the beaches and side bars for snacks and coronas....whatever your delight. A most relaxing day. Scooters were $20.00/day and jeeps were $30.00/day. Very cheap.
