 "El Patio" B&B in Cancun

Has anyone stayed here before? We have the opportunity to stay a few nights free but want to make sure its clean and in a decent area. We are not interested in a resort setting. We would rather mingle with the mexican people.

We are also bringing our 1 year old daughter so anyone who has tips on travling with a little that would be great also.

thanks,

glassrobin

I never stayed there, nor do we have any votes at the present time for this hotel. It sounds like a nice place though, and for that price, who can beat it? Here's the listing that will be listed in our upcoming People's Choice Guide Cancun travel survey guide book:

Av. Bonampak #51 Sm 2-A, at the corner of Cereza, Tel.: 884 - 3500 and 2401

13 rooms and 1 suite set in a charming 2 floor Inn with old hacienda decor. Prices ranging from $50 - $60 per night, $5 each additional person with all-inclusive rates available. Equipped with A/C, cable TV, safe and private bath. Continental breakfast and newspaper included. Other hotel amenities include a bar/lounge, car rental desk and shuttle bus transportation to the beach. Credit cards accepted: Visa and MasterCard.

I hope this helps make your decision a little easier,

glassrobin - I live very close to El Patio. It's in a nice, safe residential neighborhood - two blocks to Av. Tulum, the main street in downtown. I have not been in there for a long time, but last I was inside it was a clean, quaint place. It looks to be in good shape after Wilma.
