We are not getting passports for our January trip to Cancun. I've read where you should take your marriage licence. My question is has anyone ever been asked for their marriage licence? And if so what if you have been married more than once, the licence does not have your maiden name it has your last married name which does match your birth certificate.
You will be asked for your license as well as birth certificate . You will need to bring proof of your name change if you were married previously. They do ask to see them when entering Mexico. I had to do that last time. Now I have a passport. Much easier.

Just get a passport. You will need one eventually, it's just sooooo much easier. Either way, have a great trip!

I totally agree with Jay, if you have time. It usually take a few weeks I think unless you expedite them and that cuts the time to about 10 days. Good Luck!

you can get passport the same day.call to the offies.
We were asked for our marriage license along with our birth certificate and drivers license. Friends of ours were not asked for their marriage license but I wouldn't chance it.
