Anyone have a layout/map of the actual propery itself?

On the left hand side of this screen you will see a bunch of hotels listed. CLick on the Omni. It will bring you to a page that shows the picture of the property. Click on the link that says "Virtual Tour: Expedia.com" and you will see a small layout map of the property.

Thanks Lejaff, never even saw that. Wish I could find a really detailed map of where each Villa is. Maybe Im asking too much.

You goin to Jamaica man?? What dates were you booked for the Omni and do you still plan on going there? If you have to change dates maybe they can comp you in some way to help you with the change/cancel plane ticket charge.

We are sticking with our Cancun plans. Maybe the trip won't be what we expected when we first booked, but at least it will be warm (It was 9 degrees here yesterday!).

I'm sort of looking of this as something of an adventure at this point, hoping for the best, but not really knowing what we will encounter. In the big scheme of things, this is nothing compared to those people whose vacations were spent in a Mexican shelter!

But I have learned one lesson from all of this....DON'T BOOK A TRIP EARLY! Wilma hit Cancun 2 weeks after I booked this trip!

DBL Amen ----Lejaff-------- We're in the same boat!!!!!!!! But due to our earlier arrival date we had to switch hotels~! We will be going to the RIU Caribe with our fingers crossed!

I am sure you'll have a wonderful time! I can't wait to hear how you make out! I don't know much about the RIU, but EVERY hotel has it's great points, it's good points and it's not as good points, so just focus on all the great/good things and you'll come home with great memories!

The last I heard from Leticia at the Omni was that they are in the process of planning the theme night dinners right now (so it sounds like they will have those up and running by 2/1) and she will know next week whether there will be any Palapas on the beach when we are there. I am keeping my fingers double crossed for that. I LOVE the beach, but even with sunscreen, I tend to burn without some shade. Plus reading a book in the glaring sun just gives me a major headach! Yes, it's all about me isn't it! LOL
