Some friends were there last week and they said it was fine. The beach was nice and the hotel was generally in fine shape. They said the beach restoration was a success although some of the beach had deteriorated back into the ocean. We are going on the first of april and can hardly wait.

Any idea on transfers to and from the airport? we are looking for a good inexpensive company for this.

I know Pina Colada's resturant (on the beach has now reopened), and they were still working on KuKu's the beach jacuzzi bar on Monday. We've stayed at the Omni several years after trying many other resorts, and will be returning in June. Normally concerning transfers, after immigration and before customs there is a booth where you can get a taxi or van. The van is 9.00 USD per person, and since there are only 2 of us it works well.

We have been staying at the Omni for the past 15 years. I can honestly say that this is one of the best hotels in Cancun. Not only is it beautiful but it is one of the best managed properties. Are there occasionally problems, of course. Show me one vacation facility that is perfect. But historically you won't go wrong here.
