Beware of USA 3000 airlines. |

Well they did it again USA3000 called this morning and cancelled our flight to Cancun Thursday May4 - 11.No explanation just that the flight was cancelled. Tried to give us a flight Saturday May 6 to Sat May 13 but told them to go scratch. This is the second time they have cancelled our flight in 2 trips to Cancun. We have condo reservations Thursday to Thursday, we have people that have to work on Friday the 12th and they just assume they can switch you like it's nothing. We cancelled our flights, requested a refund and booked Continental Thursday May 4-11. So it all worked out in the end. Just needed to vent about them they really pi--ed me off. We will never be flying that airline again. Report as inappropriate |

I'm glad it all got worked out...but that is the DUMBEST customer service gaffe ever! On what planet is it okay to cancel a flight with only a month's notice and nothing to offer you that works? Report as inappropriate | ||||||

Yes I have a good story-went to Acapulco 3/17 and the flight was only about half full, it still took off on time and some of us lay down on all three seats. When the seat belt light came on because the flight got a little bumpy the flight crew let the ones sleeping alone. It was a Apple Vacation deal so mybe that help. But that is no good they cancel your flight. I guess others arent going to Cancun either. Maybe next year it pick up. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

Hmmm Never had a problem with USA 3000 but all were charter flights out of St Louis. Hd more probs with funjet flights were always late to depart Report as inappropriate | ||||||

We use USA 3000 out of Detroit and Cleveland every year and have never had a problem. However, when you book a charter there is always the possibility that if they do not fill the plane they will cancel the flight. I know there is a notice on their website regarding this. When we flew in Nov., a month after the hurricane, I thought this would happen to us, but they did fill the flight. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

The flight was pretty full when we booked it in January so I can't see that as being a reason for cancelling.. It's just really aggravating when you plan everything out ahead of time and then they just pull the rug out from under you. We wanted to book Continental in the first place but still had credits on USA 3000 from the hurricane. It really worked out ok for me because they have a weight limit of 50lbs total 1 or 2 bagson USA3000. I needed 50 lbs apiece as my dive gear alone is 46 lbs. So it actually helped me out, but it was very stressful all day trying to get it all worked out.Since this is the second time they have done this to us I just wanted to let everyone know to be aware. We used funjet once- out of Midway on ATA. It sucked. My only experience with Funjet -- but it sucked. Apple (using USA3000 for 4 of 5 apple trips has been great!) i think we just might be lucky. Everyone at the hotel we stayed at (FUNJET - they were not great- actually the woman at the hotel was AWFUL). maybe a bad taste in my mouth with funjet?? so maybe not listen to me .... Well it is an awful shame you had to go through that, but you are right about the luggage, they made a huge deal about the weight of our bags and charged some folks extra in Detroit for being over. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

That is awful! I would not be happy... Interesting about the luggage. I have been thinking of booking USA3000 directly. But a 50lb. weight limit will NOT cut it with us. We are chronic over-packers. We take 3 full suitcases and golf clubs, and we have to pack strategically to get them 50 lbs. each (crazy, I know). I am sure it would cost us a small fortune in luggage fees. Right now, though, they are the only ones with nonstops to Cancun from our area. Bummer. AND I do not want to take a chance on having my flight cancelled. We would be very upset.
