Sounds like more and more airlines are getting more and more strict about the luggage weight policy. I'm hearing that some may now have a fee for checked luggage, period! I've hear of up to $150 fees for going overweight. I'm a heavy packer and push it to the limit. so far the worst I've gotten was a Tsk Tsk from them.

Having worked for a major airline I can tell you that they are getting more and more strict on the weight limits. They have allowed it to get out of hand by not strictly enforcing it and it is a big problem now both with checked bags and carry on.

Of course, using a charter, you will always have a lower limit since they are usually operating full aircraft and must watch weight very carefully.

We are taking USA 3000 on Tuesday out of DTW. Does anyone know if there is ANY WAY to get the bulkhead or exit rows? My husband has long legs and cramps up bad if he gets a regular seat.

Got the "bird" from USA 3000 in Novenmber for my Jan. 2006 trip...reboked thru continental....took USA 3000 3 months & numerous phone calls to get my $$$ back..I have used them in the past 3 x w/o any problems but I will not use them again unless I book thru apple , which mostly uses them..

We've only had good experiences with Funjet, they've actually gone out of their way to provide excellent customer service. And, we like ATA, they have affordable business class upgrades so we can have more room for only a few $$ more. Love Midway airport, it's easy to get to and easy to get around in. They could use a few more security check-in lines, though, it's always a mess there.
