 Columbus lobster dinner cruise

Hello, My husband and I are going to Cancun for the first time this june, and I really want to go on the lobster dinner cruise. for a romantic dinner. I was just wondering if we should go on the earlier time (5) or the later (8)? Which do you think and why? Also, do you have to choose either lobster or steak, or can you have a little of both , and is there a drink limit? Also, where is the dock located, and do you know about how far away that is from barcelo tucancun? Also any thoughts about the speedboat jungle tour would be great! thanks for your time!!

Ive looked it up on several websites and the cheapest I've found was $69 per adult, that was on cancunfuntours.com.

bc:

We did the later cruise, and I have to say the first group that

came in were all complaining as they got off the boat that it

was WAY too hot... they also mentioned to make sure you don't

eat below deck...

Being on the later cruise it was probably much cooler, and

I think romantic... we were under the stars and music was

playing... I don't think the ambience would be the same on the

early cruise...

I think it you get lobster it comes with Lobster and steak,

the food was really good...

My husband and I went on the Columbus Lobster Dinner Cruise on April 28, 2007. We were VERY disappointed. I got all dressed up for a romantic evening. Not a good idea for this venue. My heels kept getting stuck in the planks as we were walking to the boat. The wind kept me holding my dress down to avoid exposing myself.

Upon entering the boat we were greeted with a flower, a photographer and premade cocktails . We were seated on a bench on the side of the boat. We later realized this is where we would be taking our meal. They came around before serving the meal and set something like a tv tray in front of each of us to eat our meal on. The lobster was ok, the piece of steak was inedible. The baked potato was cold and the because of the wind the salad wanted to fly off its plate. Desert was a slice of packaged dark chocolate cake. Nobody seemed to eat much of their dinner.

On the trip out they had a local musician playing the sax. That was nice. When he took his break they turned on recorded music and invited everyone to get up and dance. The dance floor was the walkway on the side of the boat no more than 3 feet wide!! Only a couple of people got up to dance.

As we were leaving the boat the crew stood by with a huge tip box!!

We were disappointed with this cruise. However, we were in Cancun with a group of our business associates. A few of them went on the Pirate Cruise and had a GREAT time. Should have gone with them instead of the non-romantic lobster cruise.

I was not impressed. It was hot as hell during the 5:00 cruise. For the price-I was expecting way more and was so disappointed. The boat is shiny but small. The downstairs is quite raggedy with area fans sticking out of the walls. It was very tacky. The staff was great though. They went out of their way to serve you. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.
