I certainly hope the person who wrote this review continues to cruise. Writing a hotel review is helpful to all of us TA members and future Cancun visitors, but only when the reviewer is honest.
We were at the Omni mid June from Sunday thru Friday and I'm surprised at the complaints he has noted.
There were plenty of waiters on the beach, the service at Pina Colada's was excellent and the food is good. I've requested menus plenty of times at the buffet and never received a "look", nor have I ever had anyone expect a tip for a service of any kind while we were there.
The staff at the hotel has always been very helpful, and there were several security guards walking around while we were there. If you leave personal items on chairs it's your responsibility, not the hotels.
Our room was quiet, and the air conditioner didn’t sound like a jet engine, actually we could hear the waves if our patio door was open a couple inches.
The staff at this hotel like many others in Cancun have worked very hard to rebuild and didn’t deserve all the negatives just because it wasn't operated like a cruise ship.
