Hola ag700, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I've been very busy today.

Actually, you brought up an excellent point for which I have posted a new question in relation.

Thanks Eric! I have seen the other thread. My experience has been with facilities that have either complete AI, or no AI at all.

I do have a suggestion...barcode the wristbands. Have unobtrusive scanners at the entrances to the bar & restaurant. This will log the guest in to the location. This also opens an electronic tab. The staff will be able to look at the tab to see what type of plan the guest has, when the guest orders. The waiter/bartender just types the orders into a guest's tab, just like any other restaurant. When the guest leaves the location, the door scanner logs the guest out & closes the tab for that session.

Have a wireless scanner for the waitstaff. Same would work with the hand-held scanner, for pool & beach service.

Wouldn't need different colors to differentiate between types of plan, & this would also do electronic inventory for the management. Nothing could be fraudulently charged to an account since no guest code would be duplicated after check-out. The staff would be unable to place the order without the code being activated for that session. Only the bracelet would be able to open & close the tab. No bracelet = no service without immediate payment.

The whole bracelet thing started a few years back. In 2003 you could pay cash right at the bars.....

BTW,

1212Eric book is pretty cool and I hope it continues to grow. Its a survey book on Cancun.

Mapchicks maps are amazing

I wish I could contibute something like that.

Thanks ag700, and to Cancunpair for the compliments. I also agree that mapchicks maps are great as well; in fact I think the two work well together ;)

I hope with technology going the way it is, and so fast, that Cancun's resorts find a better system for their all inclusive programs. Please find my other post and contribute to that because I'm trying to get a good cross section of opinions?
