Hi....

I pressume your getting married in mexico, so am I.

An apostille is an offical stamp on your documents to prove that they are real. In the UK this is done in London either by visiting the Foreign & Commonwealth office or by post.

Look on the following link for more information.

www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front…

When and where are you getting married?

Hope above info helps.

The apostille is a raised stamp, in your case if you're getting married it would be your birth certificate that they require.

You can get it done at the Legislation Office just off Trafalgar Square and it costs 19 pounds.

I'm sure you could get it don'e by post as well though.

Hi

Now I am confused do you also need a Certificate of non- impediment as well as the apostille? I thought it was just the Apostille?

I am getting married on the 19th May and the only thing I am worrying about is getting he paperwork right.

Thanks

Hi...

Getting married at the Moon Palace too April 2nd.

I'm a bit confused about the paper work, as there seems to be mixed information.

I know that birth certificate need to have an apostle as do divorce and adoption certificates if relevant.

Have been looking for information on line to confirm that we need a certificate of no impediment, some sites say you do others say no.

When I went in to the local registry office, they had no idea what I was wanting.

I was going to try to get one just in case. But would like to know for definite one way or another. Hope someone can help.

Thanks

Hello to everyone getting married in cancun

I got married on 12th May this year the only documents i took with me were

1. full birth certificate with the apostolle on

2. photocopies of our both passports

I was worried about the passports as had heard mixed statements saying these had to be authorised and witnessed copies - this was not necessary

when we met the wedding co-ordinator she took off us the birth certificates and took further copies of our passport and the passports of our witnesses

we didnt need any other docs -any help let me know

Jo
