Xel-ha/Tulum All Inclusive Private Tour |
|
We will be in Cancun for only 5 days in March. Going with my daughers - ages 18, 23, 27. Is it worth it to take a whole day to do the Xel-ha/Tulum tour? Is Xel-ha a very commercialized/amusement park themed venue ? It is realatively expensive and don't want to waste the time/money if not worth it. Thanks |

We were there from 12/31-1/6/07. We took a private tour to Xel-ha and Tulum. We were 2 adults 45-50 years old with 2 older teens. We all had a great time. Xel-ha is wonderful. I swim, but am not a confident swimmer. But at Xel-ha they have life vests to wear, which they recommend for everyone. I had the best time snorkeling. It is commercialized in that there are restraurants and bars and shops, but it also very natural and I think a national treasure for Mexico. The river and bay are really great. I didn't do any of the other things that cost extra, but snorkeling and see the cenotes took a big part of the day. We had already been to Chichen-Itza and Ek-Balam, so Tulum was was fine. I think if you haven't been to other ruins, then do go see Tulum. Be aware much of it is roped off. Next time, I'd rather spend all day at Xel-ha. | ||||||
