This place advertised itself as being under new management and being recently renovated. I don't know the part about being under new management but there is NO WAY this place was recently renovated. The whole place was run down, even the sofas were dusty, stained and torn.

Our room was dark and dingy. The a/c leaked; there was even a bucket filled with water under it. Our room was not clean, there were even tools left on the shelves. The toilet was bare and completely run down. The knob was falling off. There were ants on the sink. The floors were stained. The beds were thin and uncomfortable. There were even cobwebs.

Security was bad. We suspect someone got into our room and took some stuff. They claimed there were lockers in the room but there was none. We even had to pay a deposit for the key! At least they gave that back.

The only ostensibly nice part was the pool. Even then, the area around the pool was littered with tools and pails and what nots. The toilets looked disgusting.

Overall, this was the worst part of my holiday in Mexico. SOo, please do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. In any case, you are in Cancun, go stay in the hotel zone. The town is just way too far from the beach. The savings are just not worth it.
