I really cannot say enough about our incredible visit to The Ritz Cancun. We stayed from May 10 - May 14th, despite the Swine Flu warnings & never once during our stay did we feel there was any threat of the flu. In fact, I've never seen a place so immaculate. Our room was cleaned twice daily and because there were so few people in the hotel, most of the time the fantastic Ritz employees cleaned & cleaned & cleaned (when they weren't anticipating our every need!). All our meals were wonderful - we simply had a fabulous, relaxing experience and cannot wait to go back.

I urge you to book your trip now. The hotels are hurting - they are at like 10% capacity so you have the hotel(s) to yourself! This was my first stay at the Ritz and I'm not sure that I can ever stay anywhere else again :). It was that awesome. We left the hotel twice, once for snorkeling, which the concierge setup for us - it was only about $50 per person. Again, it was an empty boat - but US! We also went to dinner one night at La Habichuela & it was lots of fun.

The prices for drinks were a little high - though a beer was maybe 5-6 USD & a margarita about 8, which isn't all that bad, considering. We elected to not do an all-inclusive because we really do like good food and didn't want to be stuck with what we might get at an AI.

We also took the cooking class & had a marvelous time. I highly recommend it!

My wife and come to this hotel 2-3 times a year. In our opinon the Ritz Carlton cancun is the finest hotel in the world!!

We arrived on may 2, 2009. At the height of the so called Flu. Well I will tell you this there is no flu in Cancun and to have missed out on this experience of staying in this hotel was out of the question!!

Without question this hotel and its ladies and gentleman who work there bring to life what the Ritz Carlton stands for. There is not a more beautiful hotel and better service anywhere!!.

We alway's stay on the Club Level at this hotel and the Ladies and gentleman that take care of us on club are AMAZING!! Mildred Reyes The Club manager along with Leo Diaz and the rest of the staff truly make the whole experience remarkable.

All of our desires and requests were fulfilled even before we asked.

Everytime we go to the hotel we take courses at the culinary center with Chef Rory. This is not only a great culinary journey but a huge amount of fun, food, wine and learning all given by one of the great chefs, Rory Dunaway.

We feel very relaxed and taken care of at this hotel. It starts when we pull up and the hotel manager Albert Ocascio greets us and makes us feel we are home.

The only downside is that we had to leave, but the upside is we will be back asap.

DONT MISS THIS HOTEL AND IT'S PEOPLE. IT IS AMAZING

My husband and I stayed here for 4 unforgettable days...the club level is the way to go. They cater to pretty much anything you need. The food service is excellent. We are vegetarians and they made sure that we had enough to eat. Customer service is superb!! Kudos to Edgar and he service staff at the club level. The fitness center is great..they get you fresh towels, water and the sauna is amazing as well.
The only problem was that there is almost no beach and that is not just at the Ritz but pretty much, the entire hotel zone.

Went over spring break week with our 8 & 10 year olds. Plenty of kids to play with but did not use the Kids Club due to the expense (1/2 day was around $45per child). Still has a nice beach, great for walking in the waves, waveriding and sandcastles. Two nice pools and a hot tub. Very attentive pool staff provided occasional spritzing with water, cooled towels, frozen fruit popsicles and was always available to help with an umbrella or take a food and drink order.

Restaurants were a bit expensive but the food was very good. If you don't mind running upstairs for your drinks, paying for the Club Level was well worth the cost. Four nice food presentations each day plus a chocolate fountain (which you won't want to see again after the third day or so) each night made it worthwhile for us.

You can also pay $50/day/child food plan but if you plan to leave the hotel for some days or meals it probably isn't worth it.

Rooms are standard size and could use updated TVs. Bedding is great and rooms were kept very clean. Bathrooms were good size with double sinks which is nice when there are four in your group. Great views of the ocean and pools from the balcony.

Very accomodating staff. Many, especially Club Level conceirge, call you by name at each sighting. Bell captain helped my kids feed the resident iguana and showed us pictures of him holding it. They loved every minute of it.

Would be nice to provide more economical transport to/from the airport.
