This was my family's first visit to Cancun. We stayed from May 17 to May 28. We had heard very bad comments about all-inclusive hotels and had read a couple of bad reviews about Dreams. Well its been almost 2 weeks since we've returned from our trip and I still can't figure out why people would say such bad things about Dreams Cancun. Our Experience there was like no other. Whether it was our first trip or not, this place is awesome.

To begin with, the service is above excellent. Everyone from the waiters, the lobby personnel, the concierge, the cleaning staff, and of course the entertainment staff have all one goal in mind: that is to make your stay an unforgettable one. As for my wife and myself, we can frankly say that's what they accomplished with us. Dreams was truly a Dream. When we arrived, before check-in they offered us drinks and cool towels. From that moment on, i truly knew I was on vacation! They have nightly shows that are truly entertaining. They have all-day activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and of course, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, beach soccer, etc., etc.
One of the main highlights at Dreams was the food. I'm not talking about cheeseburgers and fries(though they serve that also), I'm talking about steaks, seafood, italian food, mexican food, you name it. The World Cafe was our favorite. My wife and took our 1year 5month old baby with us and to have access to food he loves was a big plus for us. The waiters at the World Cafe were excellent, especially Baltazar and Cresencio, who both not only washed my son's bottle but filled it up with warm milk. Talk about detailed service.
The room service was 24hrs, with a great selection to choose from. They cleaned our room twice a day, always making sure we had fresh towels. The groundskeepers were always working in the "background" making sure everything looked nice and clean.
The entertainment staff provided crazy fun for us during our whole time there. Ronnie truly stood out with his wild personality making us laugh when he would yell to the girls that would pass by, "Yes!! I'm single!". (You had to be there).
As for the resort itself, the location could not have been better. Its located at "Punta Cancun". Its pretty much like a mini penninsula surrounded by aqua colored water on 3 sides, it has 2 main beaches with bars all over the place. The drinks are were great. If you go, try the "Luces de La Havana" or Havana Lights drink. Excellent stuff. The Cancun Nightlife was truly within walking distance, as well as shops and drugstores.

I could probably write a book on our expericience at the Dreams Cancun Resort, but I won't. I'll let the people who want to find out more do it for themselves. Don't hesitate to book a vacation at Dreams. I can guarantee you will NOT regret it. As i said before this place is AWESOME!!!

The only downside to this place was that we had to leave. We miss it a lot. Heck, we're even listening to Salsa music now. I'm telling you, you got to go to Dreams Cancun!!

My friend and I stayed at the Dreams Cancun during the Memorial Day weekend. This was our first time in Cancun and we will definitely be back at Dreams next year. The service was excellent!! From the time we checked in we were greeted by frinedly staff members offering us ice cold towels to refresh ourselves from the sun, cookies and champaigne. Our room was gourgeous, we even got to take home the comfortable slippers. We had a spectacular view of the pool/lagoon. The restaurant staff were friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent, especially the beef shikobobs and the chicken wings!!
Dreams is located in an excellent location. It is walking distance to all the action, the clubs amd restaurants.
I'm usually a very pick person, however I did not have not one complaint about my stay at Dreams. My only compliant was having to leave so soon. Can't wait until next year.

Do not hesitate booking this resort! It is wonderful! We stayed from May 19 thru May 24. We DID NOT want to leave and are hoping to return in the near future. We had booked an ocean front room in the pyramid and when we checked in we were given a room in the tower. I would highly recommend upgrading to the tower. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, soooo comfortable! The 24 hour room service was great! I can't say anything bad about this place. The dolphin thing was up and running and it was fun to watch.

ALSO, BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR MEMORY STICKS FOR YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA. When we got home and I tried to pull my pictures from the stick, there was nothing there! I was beyond disappointed. The only thing I can think of was it was damaged coming through the airport xray machines. So just be careful.

We traveled with two of our friends and we all had a great time. The service at Dreams is top notch. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time. The beach at the club tower area is so calm and beautiful, that we never once went in the pool. I had a hot stone massage at the spa and those facilities are nice as well. We had a room upgrade upon arrival because I signed up for the Iprefer club and got an ocean front room in the club towers. The views were awesome!

All of the restaurants were good, especially the Japanese restaurant. The only restaurant that was hard to get seated at was Seaside Grill, we had to wait 40 minutes for a table. Overall the food and drinks everywhere were excellent. Go to the barracuda bar because between 4-5pm they serve Coco Loco's and they were great.

The only minor complaint we had was that the guys I was with did not like the golf course that Dreams has free golf at, and they said it isn't even worth going to.

Overall we love Dreams and would go back in a heart beat. I don't understand how some people on here complain about this place, you get what you pay for and we feel Dreams is great value for your money.

We just came back from a wedding over memorial day weekend at Dreams. If it wasn't for our friends I'm not sure we would have ever visited the resort. Despite the fact that it was hip hop weekend and full to the max we had a wonderful time. We never had to wait in line for any of the restaurants and service was exceptional. We were definitely an older crowd compared to the hip hoppers, but that was fine. There were also lots of families and a few other wedding parties. Friends did the dolphin swim and raved about it. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We had an ocean view with balacony and room service coffee every morning. Never having stayed at an all inclusive before, this left a good impression and I'd definitely try it again.
Only criticism is that we never left the resort, so we could have been anywhere. Didn't partake in the nightlife outside of Dreams - but heard that it was well within walking distance and one of the best locations. Instead we sipped cocktails at one of the many lounges/bars overlooking the ocean well into the evening catching up with friends we don't see often. It was a perfect setting and the bride and groom were very pleased!

  • Liked — all inclusive, no need to decide or leave, very easy for everyone
