“What a great place”

Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa

Stayed at Dreams at the beginning of June. What a great resort.
Check in was a breeze as was the cold towel (s) and chilled cahmpagne. I did notice that guests who booked their reservations on line (i.e. Expedia, Obritz, Priceline.com) seemed to have more check-in problems, "we don't have a reservation in your name" etc more often than those booking through tour companies or agencies.

Room was ready for check in when we arrived at the hotel about 1:00PM, and baggage made it to the room at the same time we did.

Rooms, bathrooms and public areas including lobby, bars, restaurants are immaculate and cleaning and polishing goes on what seems to be 24/7.

The staff has to be the friendliest in Cancun and whether the hotel manager, the desk staff, or the cleaning staff , all greet the guests with smiles and "hola" or "buenos dias".

The rooms while not beautiful are more than adequate and the ocean front balconies are great.

World Cafe for breakfast or lunch buffet is very good, and the beachside grill or Oceana for an evening meal is excellent. Service at all restaurants was quick and attentive.

The lobby bar is very busy in the evening and service might be a bit slow but not so much as to be annoying. The entertainment was great the nights we were there.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dreams am planning my next trip there.

I stayed at the Dreams Resort in 2005 and fell in love with the location, rooms and service of this hotel so I knew that on my next trip back to Cancun I would return to Dreams.
We just returned from our second stay at Dreams and it was just as wonderful as my first. I have stayed at other resorts in Cancun and the Dreams Resort is by far the best.
Our room was clean with beautiful views of the ocean and lagoon. The mini-fridge in the room was re-stocked every day.
The service was the best I have experienced. The waiters and cleaning staff were very accomodating and made sure anything you needed was taken care of.
The restaurants and bars were awesome and the food was delicious. This is an all-inclusive resort which means you don't need to tip, but I recommend that you take lots of dollar bills with you because the service you get at the Dreams Resort should not go unnoticed and it is well deserved.
I cannot say enough good things about the Dreams Resort and Spa. It is the best there is and I can't wait to go back.

“Dreams was awesome”

Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa

Dreams was awesome. My husband and I vacationed at Dreams with my two brothers and their wives. We had a great time.

The hotel was very comfortable and the oceanfront view spectacular.

We have been to many all inclusive resorts. In terms of food, this was the best! We had breakfast and lunch in The World Cafe--the buffet. Breakfast was incredible. They served the regular for lunch (hamburger, fries, pizza, hot dogs, salads, fruit) but also had a wide array of alternatives. It was not unusual to find the chef grilling fresh shrimp or serving lamb.

We always went to one of the other resturaunts for dinner. Great fish at Oceana. Most loved the grouper. The Mahi-Mahi was a little tough according to my brother. The Seaside Grill, on the other side of the resort, is a little hard to find but worth the walk. The filets were really good which, in our experience, is unusual for Mexico.

We did go to Poloma Bonita, the Mexican place, outside of the grounds where Dreams guests received 20% off. I would say to save your money. It was cute but very loud! The food was marginal and the drinks not nearly as good as those you have already paid for at Dreams.

The beach service was great. We sat down by the Japanese resturaunt because it was close to the bar and close to the restrooms. It was perfect! The drinks at this place were really good. Many times they seemed very watered down...but not here. One of my brothers was dissapointed that they did not serve Dos Equis but he seemed to adapt very well to the Corona! They had a few off brands of booze but most was pretty good...not the real high end but the higher end of average.

It was fun to watch the dolphins although none of us forked out the cash to do it ourselves.

The pool is small but fun to watch people. The beaches are really nice...not huge, but nice. The only down side is that you cannot walk very far on the beaches before running into a roadblock where the beach ends. If we do not go back, that would be one of the reasons but certainly an easy one to deal with.

The towel service is amazing. Dreams is the first place we have been where you don't have to have a ticket for a towel. They are everywhere in baskets and the baskets are most always full...all day long.

It is also nice that Dreams does not require a wrist band. You just give your room number. There is good security as you are asked your name and number when you reenter the complex from the street or the beach.

The service was great. Never waited for anything including plumbing service!

There were many weddings taking place at Dreams. Kind of fun to see and the set ups did not intrude on regular guests freedom too much.

Overall, we would rate this very high. The facilities need a little updating but the people, the service, the food, and the drink made up for any small problems. We would go back again!

It was a great place to relax and have fun.

This was my family's first visit to Cancun. We stayed from May 17 to May 28. We had heard very bad comments about all-inclusive hotels and had read a couple of bad reviews about Dreams. Well its been almost 2 weeks since we've returned from our trip and I still can't figure out why people would say such bad things about Dreams Cancun. Our Experience there was like no other. Whether it was our first trip or not, this place is awesome.

To begin with, the service is above excellent. Everyone from the waiters, the lobby personnel, the concierge, the cleaning staff, and of course the entertainment staff have all one goal in mind: that is to make your stay an unforgettable one. As for my wife and myself, we can frankly say that's what they accomplished with us. Dreams was truly a Dream. When we arrived, before check-in they offered us drinks and cool towels. From that moment on, i truly knew I was on vacation! They have nightly shows that are truly entertaining. They have all-day activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and of course, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, beach soccer, etc., etc.
One of the main highlights at Dreams was the food. I'm not talking about cheeseburgers and fries(though they serve that also), I'm talking about steaks, seafood, italian food, mexican food, you name it. The World Cafe was our favorite. My wife and took our 1year 5month old baby with us and to have access to food he loves was a big plus for us. The waiters at the World Cafe were excellent, especially Baltazar and Cresencio, who both not only washed my son's bottle but filled it up with warm milk. Talk about detailed service.
The room service was 24hrs, with a great selection to choose from. They cleaned our room twice a day, always making sure we had fresh towels. The groundskeepers were always working in the "background" making sure everything looked nice and clean.
The entertainment staff provided crazy fun for us during our whole time there. Ronnie truly stood out with his wild personality making us laugh when he would yell to the girls that would pass by, "Yes!! I'm single!". (You had to be there).
As for the resort itself, the location could not have been better. Its located at "Punta Cancun". Its pretty much like a mini penninsula surrounded by aqua colored water on 3 sides, it has 2 main beaches with bars all over the place. The drinks are were great. If you go, try the "Luces de La Havana" or Havana Lights drink. Excellent stuff. The Cancun Nightlife was truly within walking distance, as well as shops and drugstores.

I could probably write a book on our expericience at the Dreams Cancun Resort, but I won't. I'll let the people who want to find out more do it for themselves. Don't hesitate to book a vacation at Dreams. I can guarantee you will NOT regret it. As i said before this place is AWESOME!!!

The only downside to this place was that we had to leave. We miss it a lot. Heck, we're even listening to Salsa music now. I'm telling you, you got to go to Dreams Cancun!!

“Best Time Ever!!!!”

Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa

My friend and I stayed at the Dreams Cancun during the Memorial Day weekend. This was our first time in Cancun and we will definitely be back at Dreams next year. The service was excellent!! From the time we checked in we were greeted by frinedly staff members offering us ice cold towels to refresh ourselves from the sun, cookies and champaigne. Our room was gourgeous, we even got to take home the comfortable slippers. We had a spectacular view of the pool/lagoon. The restaurant staff were friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent, especially the beef shikobobs and the chicken wings!!
Dreams is located in an excellent location. It is walking distance to all the action, the clubs amd restaurants.
I'm usually a very pick person, however I did not have not one complaint about my stay at Dreams. My only compliant was having to leave so soon. Can't wait until next year.
