The hotel was great place to stay.Great location.the bus stop is just right out the hotel.7.50 pesos would take you nearby attractions.public phones right out the hotel make a local phone call with 3.00 pesos.there is a store across street from the hotel for snacks and soft drinks,water ,etc. the beach is the best you could find in Cancun. calm waters.we stay at a club room with private balcony and breakfast included. the beds were very comfortable.Service was great special thanks to the bartender Demetrio awesome service, Delia from the presidente club, everyone at the concierge desk, and the cleaning crew. the food at the caribeno was great if you like fresh mexican breakfast buffet.The restaurants in the hotel are expensive but worth it.I have to say that I picked this hotel based on the reviews. I wanted to make sure my family and I would have a great time in Cancun. we did. Thanks.

ROOM
We stayed in a standard room that was on the bay side. Room was simple but comfortable. Beds were a bit hard but how much time are you really in bed in Cancun.
Saw several complaints regarding the carpet but floor 6 was completely fine.
Housekeeping was very good.
BEACH
Great Beach and Pools. Love the Tiki Huts out on the beach. You do have to get out there early as they fill up rather quickly but you can park in the shade all day. Water was crystal blue.
There is a guy Paul- american man that has a sail boat in the water. 4 of us girls took a 1 hour private sail and it was awesome. We loved being out on the water and looking at all of the other hotels. Just wish it would have lasted a bit longer. Reasonably priced at $30 per person.
Beach Attendants were great. Always visable for beverages and food. Fairly fast as well.
They also have awesome beach towels. Very large and covers the entire chair.
RESTAURANT
We ate in the pool side restaurant for breakfast for 2 mornings. It was about $16 USD so very reasonable compared to US Hotel. Great Traditional Mexian Food and they had self serve bloody marys and mimosas. Also, tons of fruit and eggs made to order.
Waitstaff was very good and friendly.
LOBBY BAR
Nice quiet lobby bar. Makes great Mojitos. Closes early if they are not busy but we mainly used before going to dinner.
BUSINESS CENTER
Was great because it was complimentary. Only downside to that is that people would park there and look at facebook at length while I was waiting to get directions to Tulum.
OVERALL
Very nice, clean hotel for the money. Seems like a lot of Mexicans go to this hotel so seems to be very traditional.

This hotel could use a few updates. The carpet and walls in the hallways are in need of updates but I found the hotel very clean and comfortable. I just left there yesterday 06/21/09. I spent a week at this resort and loved every minute of it. The service is very good all staff is very friendly and helpful. I was there to relax and spend time in the sun on a beautiful white sand beach and thats exactly what I did. This resort is very family oriented and I will continue to stay everytime I am in Cancun.

I found the Presidente Hotel to be a comfortable Hotel to stay in. I normally travel at the more "budget" end in terms of hotels, so was quite happy with the room, which was quite large and had a nice view of the lagoon.

Yes, the rooms are not really new, but the bed was comfy, the lighting good in the room (quite liked being able to dim the floor lamp if I wasn't reading)

The beach at the hotel is very nice, soft sand, loads of lounges and umbrellas.

The pools were great to lounge around.

There is a bus stop directly to the left of the hotel entrance, so getting around is just 7.5 pesos. I found the bus service to be regular and convenient.

staff were always helpful and attentive.

About 2-300M to the right of the hotel entrance is a decent mini mart, a nice (tho expensive) sushi restaraunt, + a couple fo more locally oriented places to eat (great fajitas) as well as a laundromat that does up to 4 pounds of washing for 100 pesos.

I would gladly stay at the Presidente again if I ever get back to cancun.
