My husband and I staye here for 5 nights for our honey moon back in September and loved it. We arrived via the the hotel shuttle from the airport which was about a 20 min ride. As soon as we set foot in beach palace we were impressed. Nice modern style with a beautiful aquarium. We were greeted at the front desk with champange, warm towels, and a rose for me. Check in was a breeze with no wait. Our room was not ready so we got our wrist bands and went out to the pool for a bite to eat. 45 mins later our room was ready. The rooms are 5 star rooms we had an ocean view which you could see far out into the gulf. Whirlpool tub was awsome right in the room you are able to watch your flat screen tv while in the hot tub. We loved the futon bed on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and we had nightly turn down service. The rooms are very cleand, spacious and plenty of closet space with robes and slippers. Nice bathroom with stand up shower and double vanity. We had our own minibar which was fully stock everyday and full bottles of liquor. nicest rooms we had ever stayed in. Room service was fast never waited more than 10 mins for our food to come up. All the pools are nice to lay out at. We must have gone at an off time b/c it was very quite which was nice. One draw back is there is no beach you have to walk a little bit to go to the public areas to get on the beach. We ate at all the resturants including the buffet which were really good. Enjoyed some spa treatments massage, reflexology, hot stone pedi definetly suggest. Did do a mini facial but that was a waste of money. A pipe burst one day and there was no hot water in our room so when I called they offered a room for me to go to and shower so I would not have to wait that was impressive to me most places would say oh well. We did go on one of the tours to the island which were included in the all inclusive package it was nice and we did swim with the dolphins. They can book everything for you at the hotel so you don't have to carry around all your cash and credit cards. All the staff was friendly, helpful and professional made you feel you were always vip. I would suggest the beach palace for anyone looking at going to Cancun for their honeymoon.

1) Guacomole is fantastic! Try some at the buffet.
2) Bring some insulated mugs. Otherwise those ice cold drinks turn real warm...real fast!
3) Looking at the hotel from pool... Pesidential Suites to the right have the best views of the ocean and Cancun skyline. If you can, try and get one of these.
4) Hotel casts a shadow. The best seats are nearest the ocean. These seats get sun most of the day.
5) When you first get there, the front desk will direct you to a service representative who will fill you in on the amenities and entertainment of the hotel but, the real reason is that they want to book a time share sales presentation. You'll be tired so just tell them no, that you want to go to your room and that you'll be happy to sit down with them later. If you do have the time, go on the presentation. They'll give you $400 towards a Spa treatment that you can spend on a hot stone or couples massage. Very worth it! At the end of the presentation just say that you're not interested and they'll let you go. Or buy in. Either way, you must agree to give them an hour and a half of your time.
6) There's a bus stop right out front. Buses cost 75 pesos so if you give them a buck they'll give you change. The buses cruise the hotel zone and downtown Cancun. If you just stay on, you'll end up back at the hotel. Be adventurous! Hop on and hold on!
7) You can unscrew or unplug the lights out on the balcony. We slept outside most nights.
8) If you find the drinks too weak, just empty a couple of water bottles and fill them with booze provided in the room. That way you can kick them up a notch at pool side. Bam!
9) If you like a good cup of coffe in the morning, order a latte. Not as good as Starbucks but better than the house coffee that they serve.
10) There is no beach to sit out on but, in the morning, at low tide, you can walk the beach to the right of the hotel forever. That's right. There is no beach at Beach Palace.

First of all I must say that I was very, very pleased with my fourth floor ocean view room. The balcony really makes the room what it is and its just amazing. The bathroom was nice and clean with good products. The beds were comfortable with choices of pillows. The first thing that my best friend and I did was order room service because we were hungry after our flight. We ordered room service twice more after that. Its okay for late snacks or just something to munch on, but you are better off going out to eat for dinner. The Italian restaurant was just okay. They have a wide variety of pasta dishes, meats, and the works, but something about the taste just isn't what you want it to be. The Asian restaurant was very very good. They start you off with appetizers which really do hit the hunger spot before you get your dinner. The breakfast and lunch buffets at the Mexican restaurant have a very wide variety of food, most of which taste very good.

During the day we would lay out on the lower level, which was a little annoying because they were fixing the main pool and would drill and make noise. Also, the bingo games and activities got very annoying. The drinks were good and the servers were pretty quick with bringing them.

In the afternoon, a shadow would cast and we would go on the roof where you can swim and tan on either side. I also found the drinks at that bar tastier, but maybe thats just me.

One evening we went to Cancun Palace and ate at the steak house there. The service and the food was MUCH better than that at beach palace, but I didnt like that you could see into peoples rooms and that the balconies were 1/3 of the ones at Beach palace.

As mentioned in the other reviews, the beach was very limited, but it was just enough to go out and swim. You could also go and lay out, I cannot complain about it at all.

The staff was all very nice, usually slow service at the restaurants, but I was on vacation and not in a rush. In the evening we'd go up on the skyroof and listen to the live band that they have there, they did covers of English songs and both my friend and I enjoyed it very very much. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We were so excited to arrive- Anticipating this trip. We stayed at the Moon Palace last year. This year we thought we would try the Beach Palace.

There is NO beach. We did use the a bit of the beach next door, without any problems though. However, we spent MOST of our week at the Cancun Palace which is 3.5 Km away. We would walk or take the complimentary shuttle.

The MAIN pool is CLOSED! During Spring BreaK? What a terrible time to re-do a pool!? That was the main area of the resort. Again, only 2 small pools were open. Nothing exciting. The kids Club was another downfall. The lady in there yelled at my child when she walked in to see what they were making, and told her to get OUT and dry off. I was with her and it was harsh, and made her cry and never want to return. ( she wasn't soaking wet, but a bit damp---as she was swimming earlier)

The food was fabulous! I gained weight! My favourite was the Italian and we have traveled to Italy a few times, so I don't know why others have given it poor reviews. We ate there the most. The outdoor grill was good. Very salty steaks. The fish was awesome ( even the kids menu fish! ) The Asian restaurant- again- very nice. The Restaurant service was spectacular. Wine? well, just remember you are in Mexico and not France. It was OK, but nothing more.

The rooms- We started on the Lagoon view. It was OK, but noisy for us at night. I kindly asked at check-in if we could get an Ocean Front. She said none were available at the time, but to check with her in a day or two. I did and guess what! We got an Ocean view on the 11th floor! AMAZING! Much bigger and the views are TO DIE FOR!
Our housekeeper was terrible. We tried to tip her to see if she got any better, but nope, so we stopped tipping.

Our room was near the elevator and everything is marble, which looks nice, but SOO LOUD! We heard everything happening at all hours.

We spent one day at the Moon Palace as my kids loved that place and still prefer it. I prefer the Cancun Palace, as it has nice pools and a beach. Food was good there too.
I will include a few pictures.

Nightlife: not much. Fire show ONE night.

The rooftop bar, and lounge area is gorgeous but very hot during the day. Great sandwiches thought. Try the Spa one!

My one MAJOR complaint was check-out. We had to leave the Hotel at 6:30 am to make our flight. I thought we would just go and get a quick breakfast at 6am before we left, but they wouln't let us. Not sure why, as all I wanted was a few muffins and some boxed cereal for the kids. They refused to budge. Told me to order room service! I called and they said it would take 40 minutes! I didn't have 40 minutes, but they didn't seem to care.

Things got worse. We went to check out and Romand at the front desk gave us a TERRIBLE time. The credit card machines were not working. He kept trying all of them in the Hotel. NONE of them were working. We had to catch our cab and get going. Our room was all paid for, but we had $400 of extra's that we charged to our room. He had our credit card number and expiry date. My husband told him to just take an imprint of our card and charge us when his machines start working again. He refused. He was on the phone ( no managers around) for 50 minutes, while we made our poor cab driver wait! I was furious and threatned to leave. He HAD our credit card #, it wasn't our fault the machines weren't working, and we HAD to catch our flight. He didn't care. Finally after 50 minutes, showing our Passports like we are criminals, etc....he got a TON of info on it and let us go and will charge us later. I will be reporting this incident to the Management, as this was unacceptable. It left a bad taste in our mouth with Palace Resorts.

Don't let the resorts on either side of Beach Palace tell you that you can't go on the federally owned beach!

The large pool was still not useable during spring break period. By the last day it looked like the pool would be open the following week. Not sure why this resort took so long to redo this pool, but this was a real let down for our teenagers. The other 4 small pools are filled with small children. These pools were the same size as a small pool that you would have in your own home. If you want a beach forget this resort because they don't have one. The resorts on either side will tell you that you can't use the beach infront of their resort and they will keep bothering you the entire time you are there. The Beach Palace Manager took the resorts side and insisted that we respect the resort next door even though the sign clearly states that the beach belongs to the Federal Government. I told the resort and the person in charge at the Beach Palace to blank "......" and took the lounger and stayed on the beach regardless. Nobody could do anything because I was in the right. We weren't the only ones to complain about the beach situation. Many people put their heads down and walked back to their resort looking totally depressed. I had contacted the Beach Palace Resort directly prior to me booking accomodations at this resort to ask about the beach situation and I was told that the beach could be used on either side of the resort since the resort named BEACH PALACE had no beach. I was also told that the pool would be up and running but it wasn't. I am a palace member and when you pay money to belong to a resort you expect to receive ocean front. I called the resort to confirm ocean front and that we were celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and that he was extremely burnt out after opening another store, working 7 days a week. I wanted this vacation to be perfect and relaxing for him, unfortunately once a member the good rooms go to those who have not purchased a membership yet. When we arrived we got a room facing the busy street and it was on the 12th floor, right under the two bars above. The room had a funny smell due to the two pools above it. My husband and I told them to book us an ocean front room at another resort and within a 3 hours we had an ocean front room at Beach Palace. Funny thing, when we arrived there were none but they managed to give us one. If you get the lagoon side you will be disappointed. If you wanted to hear traffic noise then just stay home. Another issue we had was with our Spa card. For some reason they cancelled it last trip when we went to Moon Palace and it took them a few days to sort that out. The food at this resort was ok. I don't recommend the Italian Restaurant, however the other restaurants were ok. If your kids or teenagers enjoy helping themselves while enjoying the pools, they have to order something from the bar since there are no open restaurants outside. The inside of the hotel has high ceilings and the rooms are larger than most hotels we've stayed in. You can easily put a another bed in this room. The water is beautiful, light blue and the sand is while. Compared to Moon Palace, if you want blue water that you can jump in the waves, the hotel zone is perfect. Moon Palace has too much seaweed and you can't really swim there but it has many large pools. The staff at this hotel are very helpful, but their english isn't as good as it is at the other hotels we stayed at. Thank God for the two pool tables because there were only two shows while we were there. There is a beautiful mall close by that has hand made canels, star bucks, etc. You will love this place, Islas Mall I think it was called. Would we stay at Beach Palace again, absolutely Not. It was the worst vacation we ever had. I don't want to be bothered when I am trying to relax on the beach. I forgot to mention that the hotel next to us used whistel to get use out of the water the first time so that we could remove our belongings and place it on the 5 x 10 ft of sand infront of our hotel. Ok, something more positive, the spa services were fantastic. The estheticians that work there are very professional and I loved the spa. We also did the Jungle Tour which I highly recommend.
