The hotel was the perfect size. Great service, friendly staff...they couldn't do enough for you and always with a smile and often saying "with pleasure"! The staff around the pool made our stay fun and entertaining. The food was incredible too ...the restaurants were great. The wait staff served you always with 100% helpfulness, and quality in both service and food. We will definitely go back to the Beach Palace. If you go say hi to the guys at the pool for us.

We've stayed at Palace resorts for years and wanted to stay at the new Beach Palace. We read all of the reviews, and spoke with the travel agent. All said the same thing; small beach but a great place. So a two families headed out only to find upon check-in that the main pool was closed for two weeks (in the middle of Spring Break??) When we complained why we were not notified, all th employees said that they did not know about it either. As we went down to the "beach" we realized that the beach consisted of 5 lounge chairs. We were able to use the beach next door for the first few days, but did not have access to drinks on the beach. After day three, we were told we could not use the beach next door. So with no main pool and no beach we used the upstairs pool. Upstairs pool was great, but very small and not much activity. I left a message for both the hotel managment and emailed Palace Resorts and requested someone contact me about the lack of communication about no beach an no pool, and still have not heard a reply. Rooms, restaurants, tours and main bar were good. Sports bar has only local sports and has a strange smell. Bar in room was only stocked when we called. Be sure to verify ammenities before arrival or beware.

We stayed at Beach Palace February 1st-5th, Super bowl week!!
We absolutely loved Beach Palace, it was the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Mexico and we have stayed at quit a few in Cancun, Puerto Morales and Playa Del Carmen. I was unsure how I would like the smaller hotel rather than the larger resorts and too my surprise I loved it!!. We stayed on the 8th floor, oceanfront on the conceaire level and were treated like royalty. My wife had pillow service with aroma therapy and we received h'orderves and little deserts every night to our room between 6 and 7pm, she loved it.

The rooms were beautiful, all marble and spacious with modern devices such as a ipod dock, dvd player and a flat screen tv. There was also a very large jacuzzi and a very spacious deck overlooking the ocean with a queen size day bed on the deck. The room was very nice and clean, I was impressed. There was a small fridge fully stocked everyday with soda, juice and beer. There was also a mini bar with 4 bottles of top self liquor, it was nice to pour a drink right in the room and sit on the deck and just stare at he ocean.

The food was okay, we liked the Japanese restaurant and the steakhouse, but everything else was so so. There are good lunch sandwiches by the pool that are half decent, much better than the lunch buffet. I have been to Mexico several times and I have never really enjoyed the food anywhere I stayed, so it is tough for me to judge the food. I do have to say that the Japanese restaurant was probably the best food I have ever had in Mexico, besides some the Mexican restaurants that I have went too outside the hotels.

The rooftop pools and jacuzzis were very nice, with spectacular views of the entire city, ocean and lagoon of Cancun. We would go up around 6pm and sit in the jacuzzi and enjoy a frozen drink and watch the sunset. There is a full staff and there are also lots of beds and chairs up there to sit and relax. The whole top level is inclosed in glass so you see all around the island. There are also two bars to sit at and have a drink and enjoy the views. It can get a little chilly up there so in the evening or late night you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket if you plan on staying awhile, I would say more so in the winter.

The main pools are fun during the day with the activities and pool volleyball. I think there is volleyball everyday at 11am. The ocean is beautiful and there is a beach, but not very big, but plenty of beach to sit on if you want too. I do notice that everyone complains about the beaches, but even if there was a big beach, nobody would be on it anyway IMO, I did not see very many people sitting on the beach, even where there was larger beaches, I did not even see many people in the ocean the whole week I was there. Most people seem to opt for sitting by the pool, or out on the patio by the beach.

Palace resorts seems to have their own travel tours, I know we got to pick from a few tours they offered, we chose to go snorkeling for free. There are many tours to pick from. They do try to sell you optional tours on top of your trip. We did get the free transportation and free snorkeling, but I took a optional diving excursion and loved it. It cost somewhere around $100 US and I was able to charge it too the room.

Too wrap things up, I would stay at the Beach Palace again tomorrow if I went to Cancun and would recommend it too anyone, it was a fantastic trip and I have nothing to complain about. We do however plan on going to Punta Cana for our next trip and I plan on staying at the new Palace resort in Punta Cana. I hope it is as good as the Beach Palace.

PS, one thing we did not find out till the last day was that the main elevators go directly to the pool. There are also pool bathrooms on the pool level next to the elevators. We always went through lobby to get to the elevators along with the bathrooms. You can be at the pool in seconds buy taking the elevator right down to the pool level. I wish I would have know this from day 1.

My husband and I staye here for 5 nights for our honey moon back in September and loved it. We arrived via the the hotel shuttle from the airport which was about a 20 min ride. As soon as we set foot in beach palace we were impressed. Nice modern style with a beautiful aquarium. We were greeted at the front desk with champange, warm towels, and a rose for me. Check in was a breeze with no wait. Our room was not ready so we got our wrist bands and went out to the pool for a bite to eat. 45 mins later our room was ready. The rooms are 5 star rooms we had an ocean view which you could see far out into the gulf. Whirlpool tub was awsome right in the room you are able to watch your flat screen tv while in the hot tub. We loved the futon bed on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and we had nightly turn down service. The rooms are very cleand, spacious and plenty of closet space with robes and slippers. Nice bathroom with stand up shower and double vanity. We had our own minibar which was fully stock everyday and full bottles of liquor. nicest rooms we had ever stayed in. Room service was fast never waited more than 10 mins for our food to come up. All the pools are nice to lay out at. We must have gone at an off time b/c it was very quite which was nice. One draw back is there is no beach you have to walk a little bit to go to the public areas to get on the beach. We ate at all the resturants including the buffet which were really good. Enjoyed some spa treatments massage, reflexology, hot stone pedi definetly suggest. Did do a mini facial but that was a waste of money. A pipe burst one day and there was no hot water in our room so when I called they offered a room for me to go to and shower so I would not have to wait that was impressive to me most places would say oh well. We did go on one of the tours to the island which were included in the all inclusive package it was nice and we did swim with the dolphins. They can book everything for you at the hotel so you don't have to carry around all your cash and credit cards. All the staff was friendly, helpful and professional made you feel you were always vip. I would suggest the beach palace for anyone looking at going to Cancun for their honeymoon.

1) Guacomole is fantastic! Try some at the buffet.
2) Bring some insulated mugs. Otherwise those ice cold drinks turn real warm...real fast!
3) Looking at the hotel from pool... Pesidential Suites to the right have the best views of the ocean and Cancun skyline. If you can, try and get one of these.
4) Hotel casts a shadow. The best seats are nearest the ocean. These seats get sun most of the day.
5) When you first get there, the front desk will direct you to a service representative who will fill you in on the amenities and entertainment of the hotel but, the real reason is that they want to book a time share sales presentation. You'll be tired so just tell them no, that you want to go to your room and that you'll be happy to sit down with them later. If you do have the time, go on the presentation. They'll give you $400 towards a Spa treatment that you can spend on a hot stone or couples massage. Very worth it! At the end of the presentation just say that you're not interested and they'll let you go. Or buy in. Either way, you must agree to give them an hour and a half of your time.
6) There's a bus stop right out front. Buses cost 75 pesos so if you give them a buck they'll give you change. The buses cruise the hotel zone and downtown Cancun. If you just stay on, you'll end up back at the hotel. Be adventurous! Hop on and hold on!
7) You can unscrew or unplug the lights out on the balcony. We slept outside most nights.
8) If you find the drinks too weak, just empty a couple of water bottles and fill them with booze provided in the room. That way you can kick them up a notch at pool side. Bam!
9) If you like a good cup of coffe in the morning, order a latte. Not as good as Starbucks but better than the house coffee that they serve.
10) There is no beach to sit out on but, in the morning, at low tide, you can walk the beach to the right of the hotel forever. That's right. There is no beach at Beach Palace.
