My husband, 14 year old son, and I stayed at the Beach Palace with 3 other couples from June 17 - June 24. It was the first time my husband and I had been to Cancun since our honeymoon in 1990. We had a great time.

We did not get an oceanfront room but still enjoyed our view on the lagoon side. We were so busy we didn't have much time to sit on the deck anyway. If we have the opportunity to go again, I would like to stay a couple of extra days to have more down time.

We never had any problem getting a chair at the pool; however, more people definitely began to arrive beginning June 22. We went to Cancun Palace for dinner at the Mexican Restaurant one night and that resort was packed. We were really glad we were at the Beach Palace.

As others have indicated there wasn't much beach, but we were still able to go in and swim. Nice sand under your feet.

We ate at all the restaurants at BP. My husband loved the breakfast buffet. Our favorite restaurant for dinner was the Italian. My husband and I shared our beef and shrimp entrees. Desserts here are small so order more than one if you are a dessert lover.

We went on the Tulum and Xpu Ha tour. We enjoyed it but probably wouldn't go again. Would likely try one of the other ruin tours. The pool at Xpu Ha was too warm. My husband wasn't impressed with the snorkeling at Xpu Ha, but I enjoyed the cool water. Our tour guides, Tony and Ave, were great.

We have been to many theme parks in the U.S. but my 14 year old son still enjoyed Wet N Wild. As a matter of fact, he and his Dad went twice. Personally I was glad it wasn't huge. I even went with them on the family tube ride a couple of times. You can take the bus leaving from BP to Moon Palace twice a day to Wet N Wild.

Unfortunately, the snorkeling tour that use to be inclusive was cancelled. We never received a clear explanation why this was cancelled. We paid for a tour with Snorkeling Adventure. They take you out to the reef 3 times. I personally wouldn't take small children on this trip, although some were there. The first place they take you the water is only 4 - 8 feet deep so you need to be very careful to stay away from the coral. This was my first time snorkeling and others in my group indicated it wasn't a good experience for first time snorkelers. Much better if you are comfortable in the water. They fed us and food was pretty good. My friend loved the chicken they served. This is an all day excursion and if you're impatient this is not the trip for you.

The resort was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I think they could improve on the quality of the desserts. Pedicure not as good as I receive at home but okay. Massage was wonderful. Wish I had paid extra to have a longer one. My son enjoyed ordering room service. Room service food was very good. Attend the Men vs. Women game held in the Mezzanine lounge. We had 3 people in our group participate. It was hilarious.

We would definitely stay at Beach Palace again.

This was our first stay with Beach Palace…and will NOT be our last. We’ve been coming to Cancun now for about 8 years. Each year staying at a nicer hotel, but this time was the BEST!

At check in you receive a white carnation, and a welcome cocktail. The front desk was professional, yet accommodating, it only took about 15 minutes for us to check in, and be in our room. Only a few moments later our luggage arrived.

The room was spotless. Beautiful floor to ceiling glass sliding door. Big balcony with a super-comfy lounger for two, two chairs, a small table and an absolutely GORGEOUS view of the Caribbean waters. WOW! I could have easily slept out on the lounger!

There is a mini fridge full of any soda, fruit juices or beer you could ever desire…not to mention the abundance of chilled bottled water. Next to it was a slide out of full sized bottle of alcohols with dispensers. Each day these were filled back up to the brim.

The room was good sized, even for three ladies and all our luggage, and we all loved the full size Biosilk shampoos, conditioners, lotions etc.

Slippers and a robe for each of us made the room complete.

FREE, easy-to-use safe to keep all of your belongings…Hurray! Free, UNLIMITED calls to the US and Canada and local…Hurray!!!

If we only had a couple little complaints about the room. The lighting was all controlled by one switch, so in the middle of the night if you had to get up to use the bathroom…you had to do it in the dark, or you would have to turn the one switch on that lit up the ENTIRE room. Don’t keep those sliders to the balcony open too long…the humidity hits the cool tile and turns the place into a slippery mess. Our first night, two of us fell. Yikes!

We used the rooftop gym each day. Not a lot of equipment but 45mins on the elliptical and 15 mins on the treadmill each day, and I didn’t feel as guilty enjoying the nachos in the afternoon 

All inclusive food and drinks usually means quantity lacking in quality. Not here! Every morning we had made-to-order egg-white omelets with all the veggies and fixings, fruit and granola, the works! Afternoon salads or freshly prepared, made-to-order fajitas or whatever you wanted, and for dinner we ate at the Japanese restaurant or the Italian restaurant. The steak and the French Chardonnay at the Italian restaurant was AWESOME!

The staff at the Beach Palace is AMAZING. You can barely do ANYTHING for yourself without them offering to assist you, or just doing it FOR you. We always pack $100 one dollar bills when we travel. $3 for the maid each day, $2 for each round of drinks, $2 for the guy that brings over your umbrella, $3 for breakfast, $2 for lunch, $5 pp for dinner. $100 is not much for us, but those $2-$5 tips go a long way for each of these hard working folks.

We spent an afternoon at the Moon Palace. Great pool area! Beautiful hotel, but we liked Beach Palace even better!

We also visited the Cancun Palace for one dinner, and one afternoon for lunch. For a REAL treat make a rez with Guest Services at Beach Palace for the steakhouse at Cancun Palace. Specify that you would like to sit at the GRILL ‘Beni Hana style’. Super delish and fun!

While we were there, it was low capacity. Good for us (nice and quiet), but bad for the economy in Mex. If you wanted to party, it was EASY to find one, but still low capacity for Cancun this time of year.

The Entertainment staff worked hard to keep everyone…well..entertained. One night there was a Cirque De Sole type show…really cool. One night a BIG, big screen movie (Iron Man)…every day and every night something was going on….But not like that annoying style of screaming and yelling over the PA…Niiiice entertainment…”Join us for a game of volleyball in the pool, or a dart match, or”….the possibilities were endless and gave everyone a chance to mingle with the other folks at the hotel. We didn’t get involved, but it looked like everyone who did was having a ball. The sportsbar was fun, and the lounge has live bands…great talent!

Some mornings we ordered room service. One night at 1am we ordered French fries…It was in your room in less than 15 mins.. There are no limits here. If you want freshly made chocolate ice cream at 5am…They will make it and bring it to your room on a platter with a smile…It was nuts!

We utilized the laundry service…A little pricey, but great if you want to re-wear that white cotton dress in a couple days that you spilled wine on the night before!

There is not a beach per say, at the BEACH PALACE, but if you really want to feel the sand between your toes, hit Moon, Sun or Cancun Palace.

We spent one day on Isla Mujeres, important to take the ULTRA MAR FERRY (cost the same but half the time and it has A/C!). This is a very small island so we rented a golf cart for $35 for the day, went to the Palace Isla, hung in the pool had a cocktail and some lunch (ALL Free since it was a ‘sister resort’), pet a shark off the pier (really!). After lunch we went to the turtle reserve then the Gorrafon beach (only $5…instead of $50 for the Garrofon PARK). We went around the ENTIRE island! Made it back just in time to return our cart, grab a cold beer and jump onto the ferry. Great Day!

We ate at La Dolche Vita on our last night. The food was good, but the alligator below in the lagoon was super awesome!

We did the jungle tour, but I would recommend going with the company ‘Blue Ray’ or another company that has the two man boats. It costs about the same and much more comfortable. Go for the ride, which is super-awesome, but the snorkeling this year was just …ehh. They have the entire reef closed off, and they require you to wear a life jacket when you snorkel. So the fishys chill at the reef and your stuck bobbing in on oversized life jacket, looking at boat anchors. Yuck! But again, driving your own boat in the open waters is worth the $60!

Pre-arranged airport transport is the ONLY way to go, otherwise you have to wade through the ‘gauntlet’ at the airport with the timeshare folks and the taxis…blech! We use entertainment plus. It’s about $35 each way to your hotel, and they stand outside with your name on a big white plaque. We had 3 people, and a big VAN! He even stopped on the way to the hotel so we could grab a cold drink to GO!

Map chick online has great maps, and great info on local attractions.

Can’t wait to go back…Just need to talk my hubbie into it

I just arrived back home from Cancun on wednesday after a week long vacation. I stayed at the beach palace for a week of paradise. I have never been in a hotel that made me feel famous before the Beach Palace. The cleanliness and friendliness were added bonuses.
My room was ambient and romantic on its own. The food was incredible. The service was phenominal. The sad thing was that the hotel was only 30% occupied (even during Memorial Day) because of the swine flu scare.
I think anyone not going to Cancun (especially the Palace Resorts, my other favorite was Isla Mujeres) is missing out on an extraordinary vacation.
The hotel includes tours ( I believe 7) and we chose 3; Isla mujeres, wet n' wild, and Chichen-itza. We also had a 25 min back massage, pedicures and manicures included with the spa. The night activities with the lougue were also a blast. They had karoeke with a live band and salsa dancing! I definitely would recommend Beach Palace to anyone planning a vacation. Even if you bring your children they will have a blast too!!

We honeymooned at Beach Palace and loved it! The pool was beautiful and very clean. The accomodations were brand new and modern. Very large rooms and excellent views from the balconies. Only thing is it is probably a little noisy when at full capacity since it is not a huge resort. There is no beach but the view is stunning from the pool and rooftop.

We really enjoyed the food, which says a lot for an all-inclusive. We were married at Aventura Spa Palace and the food was so much better at Beach Palace. The spa was smaller but much nicer and "boutique-ish". I really loved this hotel and would go back!

Just returned from stay ar BP from 5/16-5/23. Requests were made in advance through Miriam in Guest Services and all were fulfilled. Our room #412 was across from the elevator, non-smoking and ocean facing. When we arrived we were met by Miriam Pineda and Ailin Osornio who treated us like royalty. During our stay we were also very cordially attended to by Martin in Guest Services. Martin is a must to speak with when you stay at the BP.
The entire hotel staff seemed to enjoy catering to all our needs. We did, in fact, tip all servers but at no time did anyone expect to be tipped. As regarding the beach, there was no beach. The building next door had a usable beach but the water eventually took over the beach. We also had the pleasure of viewing four other Palace resorts and enjoying the Kitchen Tour. Seeing and speaking with Miriam, Ailin and Martin made our vacation so enjoyable. The Palace organization is so fortunate to have them in their employ.
