My husband and I attended a timeshare presentation at Cancun Palace and first we were given a buffet breakfast, which was fanstatic. We then toured the facility, which was beautiful and the rooms were fantastic, however, we decided not to purchase a timeshare, because we already own one and are very happy with it. There wasn't any high pressure sales. For attending the presentation, we were given a day use pass to use at Cancun Palace and we were also given unlimited tours that we could take. We chose to do the Isla Mujeres tour, which was fanstatic, because we were able to visit the Palace resort in Isla Mujeres(which is beautiful) with unlimited food and beverage and you were also able to participate in other activities, such as snokling, scuba diving, etc, however, there was a fee for that. My friend and I decided to hang out by the pool and wait for our husbands to return. We then were able to go downtown to shop. It was an all day tour, however, it was worth it.
I would definitely recommend Cancun Palace and I would consider staying there when I return to Cancun.

This hotel is AMAZING! We went for our honeymoon and we literally had the perfect vacation. From the room to the staff, it could not possibly get any better. When we arrived, we had champagne in our hands along with a fruit drink! It took no time to be escorted to our room with our bags. The rooms are so clean and so modern. The beach is beautiful and the pool is awesome! The staff is by far the best part. So nice and professional. Stay here!!

What can I say, we had a fantastic time. This had to be the longest vacation I had in a long time (7 days) and it was the best. Of course, you loose the first and last day to travel, but every day in between was terrific. I traveled with my teenage daughter and we both enjoyed everything. Check in was great, we were friends of members so we weren't treated like the average guest. We had everything explained to us about the resort and felt very special.
We had a "pool level" room, so we didn't have a view of the ocean, but you could certainly hear it. We had a few days, where house keeping forgot about us, but they came within 5 minutes of my call. It was a bit inconvenient after being out all day, hot and sweaty and just looking for a shower, and we had to wait on the patio for them to finish. Room was a great size for two and the hot tub was a nice touch, but not very necessary. Very well appointed and nicely decorated.
The food was great. We tried all the restaurants and did the buffet more than once. Everything was fresh. We were a bit disappointed in the Mexican restaurant being a bit fancy, food wise. We just wanted some down home authentic food, but I felt they were trying to be 5 star and that wasn't necessary. My daughter was very impressed with the Italian restaurant and the intermetzo between courses. She felt very grown up.
They were celebrating the Palace's 25th anniversary so there was a party at the pool area one night. Full buffet, entertainment and it was very nice.
The early evening entertainment was very nice but after the shows, there wasn't much else to do except hang at the bar. If you're not a big drinker, that's kind of boring.
We did travel to the Moon Palace for one day and hung out at the pool. It was huge and we appreciated our moderate size resort. We didn't get around to the other resorts, Beach and Sun, but we were not unhappy we didn't. We would stay at Cancun again for sure, even having not see the others, except Moon.
The tours being included in the trip price was great. You could do as many as you like or as little. I think we were lucky we just got ours in before the real scare for the swine flu hit. You really have to take the boat to Isle Mujeres - it was so much fun. Be prepared for extra cost tours when you get there or you can just hang out at the beach for the day.
Wet and Wild was so so, a bit disapointing compared to some of the places in the US we have been to, but we went primarily for the Dolphin Swin. (You can see that's where they put all their money) I doubt if many locals go here since the price was a bit steep.
The service was fantastic and everyone was very friendly and helpful. There wasn't anything they weren't willing to help you with. Although tipping was included in our "all inclusive" price, I strongly suggest you bring lots of US dollars for some additional tipping. They go a long way with the service people. They are very appreciative of the extra tips and remember you when you do.
For the money, this was a great vacation and we will definitely do it again in the future. This stay will spoil us for future trips I'm sure.

We just returned from 7 absolutely beautiful days in Cancun. I cannot come up with one negative thing to say about our trip. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and like someone else mentioned we were greeted with wet towels and champagne, and my new wife was given a white carnation.

We tried every restaurant and enjoyed them all. For our honeymoon dinner we ate at the Italian restaurant where Jose and Daniel took excellent care of us. They made our appetizer right at the table in front of us, and it was delicious. The Italian was probably our favorite so we ate there a second night. Again, Jose and Daniel took very good care of us. We also ate at the steak restaurant twice, where Adolfo took very good care of us. Every morning we ate at the breakfast buffet where we were able to get omelettes made exactly how we wanted them, right in front of us. You could also get waffles, french toast or pancakes from the grill, as well as a wide variety of items from the buffet. I don't think we had anything all week that we didn't like.

The lobby bar was very entertaining each night with karaoke and games, etc. One night they did a circus show in the theater which was truly amazing. The pool was great. Jesus and Eduardo were always very attentive to our needs to the point they would call you over to give you a drink to try if they saw you in the pool without one.

Every staff member we had contact with was very friendly and helpful. They would always ask how we were doing and if everything was okay or if we needed anything. I cannot wait to go back and we will without a doubt stay at the Cancun Palace again.

Our family of four stayed May6th-May16th at the peek of the swine flu outbreak.Needless to say we had the 9th floor to ourselves. There was a few people ( 15-20) at the pool but occupancy got slow mid-week. We still met some very fun people!!The Palace still provided wonderful service, activities and shows. We visited all restaurants. The Frida had a great selection of fish, chicken, beef.Besides pizza, burgers, tacos, and fajitas. The Steak house was great the first time we ate there but on Mother's day they ran out of tenderlion so we all ordered Prime Rib same as last visit. We were all given sirlion. I'm not sure what the problem was but we did mention it to our waiter he was very apologetic. Not his fault so we still tipped him.I have heard alot of negative reviews about the italian I found it to be a fine dining experience. No spaghetti and meatballs. We did finally get our tenderlion there. The hibachi grill was like the one in our local area. They did provide a birthday cake for my son's birthday. Very nice!!The buffet was great for breakfast very fresh fruit, pastry, breads, juices and the MTO chef. They had the quickest room service ever!!
The kids enjoyed the Kid's club. Again not very busy so the staff spent a lot of quality time with them. They didn't use the pool. They used the trampoline, airhockey, video games and loved the pool table. In the evenings we played pool at the lobby bar with them and sang karoake. (After a few shots of course.)I did notice the drinks were watered down as mentioned in other reviews.Just ask for a shot on the side. Did try the Dirty Monkey and loved them.
The rooms were a bit small for a family of four .Very clean and modern. We did use a roll away bed. Even with an empty hotel we couldn't get an upgrade to a bigger room. The maid came faithfully everyday. Make sure you leave her light on. The one thing I didn't like was the lights were operated by your room key. Just a bump and someone in the shower was screaming at you. Also too many switches.Get use to them before bed time. Over all we did have a front center view of the ocean and pools. Breathtaking view.
Yes we did see the beach and it was small. We did take a walk down past the Marriot.Kids loved the boogie boarding the waves are little ruff but very fun. rented wave runners as well.Did take the shuttle to and from Wetn'Wild and took advantage of the dolphins swim. Four people in the group. We loved the ice cream and the buffet in the back of the park. No lines . I personally spent most of my time in the lazy river .
We did the timeshare tour. Got $400 for the spa. Tshirts and hats. Didn't join as a member. Overall we did have a memorable experience and would recommend to others.
I think we were spoiled being that there was limited guests. I'm not sure if we went back at full capacity we would have the same experience.
