We had an absolutely amazing time at Coco Bongo! We arrived as a package that was offered by our resort. $40 US open bar, VIP and transportation from our resort. I thought the drinks were good, and plentiful. I was drinking rum and coke....good and strong. I was never without a drink. The service was great. Tipped a couple of times, still got quick service. We danced all night. We really enjoyed the entertainment. Our whole group (12) all had a blast. The right ingredients are there, but it's up to you to make the experience a fun one! We went to The City Club the next night, and we didn't have half as much fun.

Dangerously overcrowded - if any emergency had occured, there would have been *lots* of dead people. In the event of a fire, I doubt more than 1% would have gotten out.

The 'Open Bar' is a joke and clearly a scam. They have 3 bars, but if you pay for the open bar, you only get to use the bar in the very back, which is nearly impossible to get to because of the overcrowding.

The staff was rude.

The show isn't horrible but it isn't anything to write home about.
Imagine a Cirque du Soleil where all the performers are kind of hungover and out of sync.

It took us about an hour to fight our way to the bar and finally get a drink. At that point we decided it was far to dangerous in there, so we left.

We were very disappointed, and were pretty ticked off that we wasted $30 each, not to mention wasting 1 of our 7 nights in Cancun.

Three friends and I went for one week to Cancun and we tried two clubs: Coco Bongo and Dady'O. Coco Bongo was the most amazing club ever! My night at Coco Bongo is unforgettable, that's for sure! And it worth all the 28$ it cost me. The bartenders were very friendly, they even got us on the stage to dance in front of everybody with them!! Also, the performers were excellent and the atmosphere was crazy!!! Go there and you'll not regret it!!! But remember, it begins to be amazing around midnight, not before! (And it closes at 5 pm)

Just in Cancun last week. This place completely rocked. Out of any of the clubs/bars we went to this place definitely took the cake. The entertainment starting around 11pm - 12am was just incredible. Not adviseable to go here if you don't like crowds. The place is a madhouse; it is floor to ceiling people dancing and having a good time.
It is well worth it to pay for all you drink ($25us). The bartenders are very friendly, but don't forget to tip!
