My friend and i have just returned from a boss holiday...met amazing people and miss them to death.
would recommend this hotel to people who like enjoying themselves and not bothered about noise. For single girls or lads or mad couples. The food ....well the pizza delivery company does well lol. The security system is really dodgy as anyone can ay there key doesnt work and get another one for anybodys room as u only give ur room number ....things were stolen daily so lock them away in ur suitcase.

For the price we paid couldnt complain some people upgraded and moved hotel to 5 star but came back to r hotel as we most definately were having the best fun.

Rooms basic but very clean, toilet system worst ever but theres always an outside toilet lol..

Would go back 2morrow coz we met the best people to holiday with. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My wife and two sons and I stayed at Dos Playas. Our first night we were given a tiny room with two SINGLE beds, but had paid for two large beds for 4 people. We spent two nights in this, but then got a much nicer room. For the most part, it was well worth the money and was good enough that I'd stay there again. We were out most all day anyway, enjoying the sights and sounds. We used it mainly to sleep, so why pay double or triple the price?

Just like the movie "Dirty Dancing", we HAD the time of our lives!! We have no idea where to begin. A party of four ladies from a small town in the center of Missouri, were treated like absolute queens by everyone at Dos Playas!! From the day we arrived till the day we left, we enjoyed each and every moment. The entertainment staff, "Freddie and Marco", are the BOMB!! They kept us "entertained" sunup to sundown. When we went out to the clubs (Daddy Rock, Daddy O, the City, and Bulldogs), we felt so safe and taken care of. Freddie and Marco made sure that we had plenty of activities to keep us entertained during the daytime such as; Bingo (papacito, chi chi make a bingo, and papachulo), water polo, and volleyball (we did beat Marco, Missouri style, and he is a little bit of a sore loser, but we still love him). We have already planned our trip for next year. You have got to take the Velvet Tiger boat to the island and do snorkling and swim with the shark too. The food was so much better than it was 2 years before, prior to this trip. The other people that you meet and become aquainted with is amazing. We befriended people from England, Scotland, Spain, Germany, Wales, and even some from the United States. We took so many pictures and captured every memory that we made, well almost everyone!! The security (Pedro) at the resort was strict, yet friendly and very accomadating to our EVERY need. The waiters were the best too, (Enrique, Fidel, Manuel, and a few others) Our cups were never allowed to get half empty. The Tequilla,,, WOW... we now fully understand the meaning of 1 tequilla, 2 tequilla, 3 tequilla....... beach!! Overall we ABSOLUTELY loved this vacation and will be back next year in MAY for another 14 days of fun in the sun and soaking up the night life. When the day came for us to leave, Freddie met us at the office, loaded our luggage and kissed us goodbye, 3 times. We cried all the way home, because we miss our new AMIGO'S!!!!!For those that want a GREAT place to stay and feel welcomed go to DOS PLAYAS.

Having done posh (Moon Palace) medium (Toucancun) we thought we would try a budget hotel the Dos Playas.Have to say you get what you pay for if you want luxury don't come here.The big minus was the ammount of thieving that went on during our stay.we has a Nintendo DS go missing from our room on our last day,you must hire a safe for anything valuable and put it in there whenever you leave the room,we were the fourth people to have had something taken beware!!. The rooms a adequate had to change rooms when we arrived as air con did'nt work .Room changed immediately.
The maids kept the rooms spotlessly clean,plentiful hot water,clean towels and bed linen.Balcony doors did'nt lock (a common problem).The ground and location are beautiful, 2 swimming pools again kept spotlessly clean,beware of broken glass on the beach which is next to a public beach.And all though the beach was swept every morning glass was a problem
Bar service poor unless you tip a lot.Would'nt stay here again
