This was the worst holiday i have ever been on.The hotel staff were terrible except for the cleaner and one little waiter.the hotel ran out of things every day, likes of ice, sprite, vodka, rum and even wine and all they would say is if you want any of these go and buy some and we'll serve it to you.The food was terrible and to go out and eat and you don't expect to have to do this when you are all inclusive. There was quite a few people had things stolen from there rooms, a friend of ours had money go missing and the reception staff just said that if the money was left in the room the cleaner would of took it thinking it was left there for them.If anyone is thinking of booking this hotel think again and go somewhere else or you will regret it.

“Dos Shitas Hotel”

Dos Playas Hotel

We where told to avoid this hotel after reading reviews on this website...and we should of. Being 8 Young male teenagers we are not fussy, but this hotels standards are too low for us. The food is very very repetitive so all our spending money was spent on eating out every night. Hot dogs and burgers where served everyday( not even cooked properly) Our room was the best, but our friends room got nick names "the Prision" as it was one, blood and dirt still on the walls. no hot water, toilet overflowed and flooded half the hotel. Piss on the duvet covers. tv didnt work. only decent thing was the entertainment staff Marco, FREDDIE and karen (fit!). Beer was also good. Avoid and go to oasis to meet the fit americans! There is a hostel just down the road and it sounds alot better!

“Dos problemas in Cancun!”

Dos Playas Hotel

Jun 21, 2008

We were a bit shocked having seen the photos and read the reviews in tripadvisor, which were good, but sadly did not live up to it. We were surprised with a visit from friends in Toronto as it was part of my husband's 60th birthday present, and they too were shocked with their room where the shower did not work....took 2 days to get it fixed. Then our shower packed up too and we had a job to get that fixed. Rooms are basic but clean. Drinks wise, all inclusive did not work here, as I was unable to have the other cocktails or drinks, I could only drink the beer as the local brandy or whisky was "unavailable" - however, if you give them a tip in advance, it miracleously appears!! Here you have to tip first like a bribe before you get any service or help. Despite complaints, the managers etc just shrug their shoulders and are of no help at all. The only, and I mean only redeeming factor are Marco and Freddie...ever so helpful and entertaining. Best was Coco Bongo. My watch was swiped from the room, after I left it on the basin after my shower and forgot to put it on. 10 mins later, I saw the maid had cleaned the room, when I asked her she said she hadn't seen it and had a smirk, though I know I left it there.
Sadly not a place I would visit again and I am sorry that having chosen this place it ruined the holiday for my friends from Toronto as well as my husband!! The food was gross in the evening though the breakfast and lunch was good. Beach was nice too. A sad reflection on our first trip to mexico.

My friend and i have just returned from a boss holiday...met amazing people and miss them to death.
would recommend this hotel to people who like enjoying themselves and not bothered about noise. For single girls or lads or mad couples. The food ....well the pizza delivery company does well lol. The security system is really dodgy as anyone can ay there key doesnt work and get another one for anybodys room as u only give ur room number ....things were stolen daily so lock them away in ur suitcase.

For the price we paid couldnt complain some people upgraded and moved hotel to 5 star but came back to r hotel as we most definately were having the best fun.

Rooms basic but very clean, toilet system worst ever but theres always an outside toilet lol..

Would go back 2morrow coz we met the best people to holiday with. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

“I'd go back”

Dos Playas Hotel

Jun 17, 2008

My wife and two sons and I stayed at Dos Playas. Our first night we were given a tiny room with two SINGLE beds, but had paid for two large beds for 4 people. We spent two nights in this, but then got a much nicer room. For the most part, it was well worth the money and was good enough that I'd stay there again. We were out most all day anyway, enjoying the sights and sounds. We used it mainly to sleep, so why pay double or triple the price?
