it was our first trip to mexico and to the hotel aquamarina beach, the staff were fabulous and friendly couldn't do enough for you,we booked with direct holidays, the price was good but the service lousy,we were unfortunate to be there as hurricaine dean came to mexico, direct holidays team not to be seen, all trips booked through them were cancelled then back on at a seconds notice then off again until eventually we got our money back and booked remaining trips with tony on the beach much cheaper and reccommended and the icing on our holiday great bunch of people, the staff in the hotel were much more helpful with information on the hurricaine and put everyone at ease it was over in a flash and not as bad as the mdia made it out to be,anyone booking your trips use the guys on the beach much more value for money,i loved it that much i am going back the year with a bunch of my friends can't wait to get there, the food is fabulous plenty for every taste and culture but don't just listen to me go see for yourself you won't regret it

hey me and my friend stayed here in march for two weeks. Ok the food wasnt amazing but breakfast they had everything u could want for a hot meal...even had a woman cooking ommlettes fresh etc. They had cerals toast and the waiters were very helpful. Lunch wasnt as good really as i am quite fussy and nearly everything had sauce on it but thats where the snack bar came in... they did hot dogs, burgers chips, nachos so u could get anything from there. Dinner was probably the worst meal but there is a little restuarant by the pool area that u are allowed to book in too and everyday we booked in to here and it was lovely! u get a little menu to choose from and are allowed a 3 course meal. This was lovely. The barmen were amazing and also the entertainment team! We didnt really want to take part i many activities first but then they asked everyday incase we changed our mind and we took part in volleyball, water polo etc and it was one of the best afternoons we had! Ok the hotel isnt placed right by the clubs etc but the buses come every 2 mins! and cost like 7.5 pesos!! so you can hardly moan. The maids were good we didnt have no problems and they cleaned our rooms every day. When we first got there and saw the rooms we were pretty dissapointed as it wasnt how we thought it would be but you get used to it and its just basic. overall its a good hotel for a basic budget...x

Having worked long hours and saved up to treat my wife and I to our first "all inclusive".
Being full of expectation of Blue skies, calm clear warm sea, white sandy beaches, palm trees, The place to relax and unwind, and enjoy the time away from home. With just one exception THE FOOD. For 2 weeks all the guests were served with what I consider raw carrots, broccoli, cauliflour. Cold???cooked pork sometimes covered in pepper sauce.
lukewarm bland soup that taste of nothing remotely what it`s supposed to be.Cold fish ok if you like "sushi". But this is the ultimate chicken that on some occasions was still pink ALARM BELLS RINGING YET ?????
Bland sweets.Even the snack bar could`nt get it right, Ham burgers that go on the hot plate for at the most was 2 minutes, and fries that are either chilled or frozen and served in there raw state. So having gone through a full pack of anti diarrohea capsuls enough is enough. We talked to the holiday rep about our concerns he gave us a "customer relations form".This is 4 days before we are due to come home., I have to assume our comments must have reached management . The following evening they laid on a bar b Que, and it was good, even the soup was good and tasty so I had 2 bowlfuls this was the first and only hot cooked meal at this hotel. even the fries were now appering to be ever so slightly brown, so we tried them again clock cold but cooked I recall they put on a treat for all the guests "MEXICAN THEME NIGHT the only thing that was palatable was the COLD creamed rice pudding My wife had a double helping because she was hungry. the only other hot fully cooked meals were on excursions, one was "Captain hooks pirate ship" and a trip to "Isla Mujeres"

So if you are in weight watchers or like crispy raw veg and every meal stone cold then this is the place to go.
As for me and my wife for us stay at this hotel again they would need to recruit a whole new squad of chefs.

However the waiters ,barmen ,entertainments, and cleaners are all very good they try hard to make you feel very welcome it`s apity the food do`es not reflect this.

On a closing note we were on the last plane from the Uk when the swine flu started there were NO REPORTED cases in or around Cancun. And as far as I can see those who have died have had underlying health problems. .

Consider the price, we paid less than £800 for 2 weeks all inclusive. It isn't a luxury hotel and for the money we paid, it shouldn't be. For the money you get great food, attentive staff who make every effort for you and very good facilities.

Some people always want luxury for little money. This hotel is not the flashest on the strip but gave us an amazing holiday. The entertainments team are first class getting us involved in games all day and the entertainment at night. The hotel then arranged trips out into Cancun itself to a different club each night. The staff even waved us off on the coach back to the airport.

Seriously, brilliant value for money. Nothing to complain about and a great staff. What more do you want for £800 each for 2 weeks?? I just wish we'd stayed longer - I hadn't won enough t-shirts and we miss our favourite bar man and his cocktails!

i just returned home from my holiday in cancun was advised by my travel agent that this was a 4 star hotel its only a 3 and its a dump we asked to be moved but it would cost 650 dollars and we couldnt afford it

two days we went without water from 7 in the morning till half past 1 in the afternoon couldnt even get a wash or brush my teeth had to go to the shop and buy water so we could a least get a was and brush our teeth

the food wasnt even edible it was discusting the pictures in brochure do not look like the hotel its advertised badly
theres an a la carte restaurant but you have to make resevations and if your 15 minutes late you dont get in

theres also a snack bar that has a big menu but they never have anything on it just burgers, hot dogs, french fries and tortillo's
snack bar is ment to be open from 10 till 6 but shut early near enough every night

it has 3 bars 2 that open at 10 and close at half 5 the lobby bar opens at 5 and shuts at 1 in the morning the evening entertainment last 4 1 hour maximum so its not exactly a holiday of a life time

i was also told that my boyfriend would have some sort of birthday in resort we never got anything

i hated every minute of this hotel the room was ment to be cleaned everyday i had to phone reception to have my room cleaned theres a sign your put onb the door to have room clean early in the morning but the maids dont pay any attention to the signs

so my dream holiday that cost me tyree thousand pound was a total night mare !!!!!!!!1111
