The staff and crew for each of our 4 dives were incredible. We did the 2 tank dive, the night dive, the wall dive and cenotes (cave dives)! Wow! Each experience was out of this world. They were knowledgable, entertaining and made our trips better than expected.

Thanks again for making our time in Cancun absolutely enjoyable. See you
next March!

I took my girl scout troop (13 girls - sixteen, seventeen and eighteen year olds) along with some family and friends (28 people total) to Cancun the first week of June, 2009. We had booked several side trips through AquaWorld and I was worried, after reading some of the reviews. I am happy to report that AquaWorld did a fantastic job with all of our tours. It was great having the trips booked and paid for in advance. Made things very easy with such a large group.

First tour we booked was the Jungle Tour. I had 18 people go on this trip. I was concerned about taking all the girls out in the ocean on waverunners but there was no need to worry. Everyone did just fine and really loved riding them. I even enjoyed the ride and I'm a big chicken! I had expressed my concerns to AquaWorld (by email before our trip) after reading some bad reviews about people 'getting lost' and 'falling off'. They assured me that they would take care of us. We had 2 guides go with us. One in the front; the other in the back to make sure we all did okay. Snorkeling was good too. We didn't really get to see too much ... a few colorful fish and lots of coral, but it was still a lot of fun. One of the grandmothers in our group had some trouble snorkeling. Our guide pulled her around on a life ring and would tell her when to look in the water. The guide told me the ride back would be rougher and I asked him to slow down. They did and we all made it just fine. I think this was the girls' favorite.

22 of us went on the SkyRider. They put us in 2 boats. No complaints at all. Very beautiful. Long ride. Much, much nicer than the parasailing I did in Florida last year. No comparison.

18 people went on the Cancun Queen Dinner Cruise and all reported having a really great time (I did not take this trip). Tourism was down so the boat was only 1/2 full which meant they got a lot of special treatment. Said the games and dancing were a lot of fun! Said the food was satisfactory, about the same as what we had at our resort (Dreams Resort).

5 of us went on the Subsee Explorer. My only comment about this is that you'd better not get seasick. The sub rocked quite a bit. Didn't sit too well with some of us. But we got to see lots of coral, fish and turtles.

My last group of 5 people went to Isla Mujeres. They loved their day there. Next trip to Cancun, I will give this one a try.

They took photos to sell of everything we did, but they were reasonably priced ($10) and they didn't push us to buy them. They did ask for tips or had tip boxes, but no one pushed us to give them a tip.

Personally I would recommend AquaWorld and I will use them again on my next trip to Cancun. I have no complaints whatsoever about their services.

I dove with aquaworld a couple of months ago, and all I can say is FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! The equipment on the [cattle] boat was terrible... regulators blowing hoses, bc's that don't hold air in them, etc... The staff on the boat was not very helpful at all. The only thing I saw was an instructor, Derrick if i remember correctly with students who seemed to be genuinely concerned with their experience (and ours) and their course... of course he was the only person on the boat who spoke fluent english (claims to be mexican but i have my doubts -white, tall, light brown hair and a bunch of tattoos). they give us like 35 minutes of bottom time (even though we all still had over 1000 psi) and that's it on a 30' reef, and they rush us into the boat, the staff switches out tank and then they rushed us back into the water. when we came out, the instructor with the students wasn't even back on the boat yet, and when he came back up all the other guys started giving him attitude (I dont speak spanish, but I guess they don't like it when an instructor takes his time with his students). Then they put all the gear away, rinse off and go upstairs to talk to the captain and forget all about the customers.. the only one who stayed behind was again, that same instructor and when he finished with his students he sat and chatted with us for a while before putting his gear away. the captain was really nice too.. even this his english was rather broken he seemed like a sweet man. They offer sodas and water from thsi nasty cooler, and it was just not a pleasant experience. When we got off the boat I wanted to see the manager, and the so called manager is the rudest guy in the world. granted, I am not the most experienced diver in the world, but this guy was just unnecessarily rude and condescending. claiming he's an instructor of all kinds of specialties and this and that and that he knows his job, and I am just an idiot.. I wish I would have taken his name down (juan something)so that I could report him to padi. I am glad I only bought a 2 tank trip to test them out before buying a package. Cancun diving is really nice, but stay away from aquaworld. there are plenty of other dive shops in cancun for you to go with.

I am a Certified instructor for Scuba. When I start asking questions, they get rude and want payment in advance. I said no, and then they started insulting me. Should be no surprise looking at the reviews.

Previous day visited Selvatica (Tripadvisors no 1 attraction in Cancun), and today rented a waverunner at Aquaworld (Tripadvisors) no 59 attraction at this time. The reasons are simply plain to see. The former is a well run, attraction with good customer care, attentive, well mannered staff. Aquaworld encapsulates so much of what has become bad about Cancun. The staff were pushy, rude and couldn't really care about much other than your money and their tips.

We arrived and paid for a waverunner, only to then be told we would have to wait 40 minutes. No big deal as it turned out, but would have been nicer to have told before parting with the cash. The "free locker" was indeed free, but involved handing over your hotel key as "security" and then signing a sheet with your name and hotel room number?
Call me sceptical, but there are some serious flaws in this perception of "security".

The rules relating to the use of the waverunner involved having a plastic laminated card pushed across the counter, by a staff member who couldn't even be bothered to look up. To be fair he did actually look up when you returned to collect your key when he then pushed his "tip box" under your nose, together with a verbal invitation to contribute. My "tip" would be to learn some manners and some good customer service if you ever expect good reviews, repeat custom or any sort of acceptable reputation.

The waverunner was ok. No unexpected surprises. The toilet facilities by the dock were dirty and unpleasant, but inside the main building were fine.

I was curious where this attraction rated after the event, and had I actually read some of the more recent reviews before going, I would have avoided this place totally.
Since I didn't, I can only give a fair report based on my own experience. OK, if you are sensible and careful. Beware of the information they seek. Staff who are excellent at conveying just how indifferent they are to you as a customer.
