My husband and I stayed at Le Meridien from September 19-22. It was hurricane season and we were blessed to have a wonderful weather on our 10th year anniversary. BTW it was their low season so the rates were reasonable. We arrived at the hotel 11:00 PM without our luggage and was told they won't arrive until the next evening. The concierge and the front desk personnel were very helpful with regards to giving us advice on where to purchase clothing and personal items as well as getting food to eat late in the evening. They made arrangements for a taxi to take us to La Parilla (great authentic Mexican food), waited for us while having our meal and afterwards took us to Walmart (which was open 24 hours) to buy some clothing etc. and then drove us back to the hotel not until 2 AM all for $30.00.

Another unfortunate incident was, I put my husband's diabetic medication with our check-in luggage by mistake. The hotel contacted their in-house doctor first thing in the morning and was able to make arrangements for his medication delivered to our room in a few hours.
Just an advice when travelling, get the baggage delay insurance, since they will cover the cost of emergency clothing, expenses, toiletries, medication etc. up to $500.00. Amex offers that for $9.95 per charged ticket.

Overall, the hotel is excellent especially the pool like what everyone had mentioned. Room service was great, open 24 hours, price is reasonable. Cancun is generally costly which is to be expected since its a tourist attraction. If you are going there for a special occassion, don't forget to mention it when you make your reservation.
They will welcome you with a bowl of fresh fruits. My husband and I would want to go back there next time maybe take the kids someday.

With a internet discount in hand we completed our vacation stay at the LeMeridian 09/17-09/19). what a beautiful place.

The service was friendly and impeccable. Everyone we met from the service personnel to the other patrons were helpful and friendly.

The grounds were beautiful, the beach and water perfect. The three tier-swimming pool was even more attractive than its picture.

During our stay the hotel was not as busy this of course allowed non-hurried meals as well as easy access to the various spa experiences available.

Deciding to splurge ( a good thing here and necessary) we availed ourselves of a great massage, my wife went for the mud wrap and massage....she loved it.

If there was a negative to this semi penny pincher, the mini bar prices seemed out of site...but a quick and easy bus ride from our hotel to Walmart cured this problem. ($7.00 at the hotel for a bottle of drinking water vs $1.60 for 5 Liters at Walmart-tough choice)

The only area of complaint was the juices theywere watered down the first time I thought mistake the second time no mistake.....

The restaurants were slightly overpriced, but still very enjoyable. We had a delightful breakfast buffett.

Would I stay here again, depending on my budget, yes!

My husband and I stayed at Le Meridien from September 5th-9th. The check-in was easy and they upgraded our room to one with a balcony. I think they tend to do this in the off season if they are not particularly full. The pool was amazing and everything about the hotel was wonderful. The drinks and food are pricey at the hotel. You have to be willing to leave the hotel to find any real deals. I recommend La Placita for dinner and drinks, which is just down the road. Also, don't book your tours through the travel agency downstairs unless you want to pay twice as much money. You can find good deals in Mexico, you just have to be a little adventurous and never willing to say yes to the first price they give you.

We stayed at Le Meridien the last week in August. The overall hotel itself was very nice. The pool and beach were the greatest. The staff was friendly but in a forced way like they had to be nice but really didn't feel like it. The front desk staff (particularly the female her named started with a "M" but I don't recall her name) had the worst attitude. We paid for a room with a balcony. It was a task getting the room that was reserved. She kept saying nothing with a balcony and view was available. It wasn't until I walked away to go and call another hotel to see what was available, that she suddenly remembered our room was in fact being cleaned and would be ready in about an hour.
