cheap condo's.....
the room was very poor....
fridge, stove, and coffee maker....
big plus for the location, close to clubs, and food.

Big Minus for the staff that work there...
after an incident at the hotel, the security guys was given my digital camera and glasses. When i was gonna pick them up, they said that they've never saw it, or had any of it.
asked 3-5 times during the week, different staff members, ALL denied it. CRAPPY [--].

So overall experience 1-1½ out of 5......
mostly due to the staff, that was unproffesional, and didn't care about anything.
Gave them postcards that they where suppose to send, as they said. NONE of the postcards has been delivered.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is budget minded and doesn't need a lot of luxury. The condo was large and clean. There was a refrigerator and stove. There was a toaster in the room, but it did not work. The air conditioner appeared to be new and worked great. When the wind blew at night, there was a loud whistle through the room. We figured out that if we left the balcony door slightly open, it stopped that. The shower head holder had been broken so the shower head just hung down, but it worked just fine. The maids cleaned the room and did the dishes every day. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. They sent up blankets as soon as we asked for them. There was not a coffee maker in the room. I think we could have gotten one if we had asked in the lobby. There was a restaurant/bar connected to the condo where you could buy a large cup of coffee to go each morning so really didn't matter. There is a convenience store on the property where you could buy bottled water, snacks and beer. You could bring your own cans of beer to the nice pool area so was really nice and allowed a person to have cheaper drinks if you desired. Our balcony overlooked the ocean, which was beautiful. There were very few people on the beach each day, which we enjoyed. The waves were a bit rough and didn't allow for much swimming, but great for anyone who likes to look for shells. There are lots of bars and restaurants within a block as well as a shopping mall called The Forum. There were two elevators that both worked just fine although one was obviously pretty old. We did not enjoy all the people trying to get you to waste a day visiting their timeshares.

I have been to this condominium. Awfull , everything is old and badly maintained. The furniture is dirty and rusty. The elevator out of order as well as the very very very old A/C.
Please never go there you will be more than dispointed, this condo must be mentionned to the mexican tourist authorities to banned from renting.
I stayed 3 nights , it was more than enough !

We stayed there over Christmas
Of course, when you get there after having driven past a few of the 5 star resorts, it's dissapointing. We reached at 10 PM, and got rooms facing the road/lagoon instead of the ocean. Asked for ocean but was told that it was all taken and to ask the next morning b/w 11AM and 12 AM. THe lagoon side was very noisy so we had to close the balcony door and sleep.
The next morning, we called and they upgraded us to an ocean view room on th 7'th floor, a much better looking room!. Ocean view was fantastic...and it really made a world of difference since the sound of the ocean waves was enough for us to put the AC off. Room had a fridge, TV, and you could also cook if you wish!
Definitely worth the money and thanks to the staff for changing our room willingly. Staff very helpful and nice!. This may be 2 star but you get what you pay for.

I booked Carisa yPalma just a bit nervous as to what I was getting myself into. But when I got there I was so in awe of being in Cancun, and seeing that beautiful water and smelling that tropic air that I would have camped under the stars if I had to. But luckily, my traveling pulled off, in a way, and I landed us exactly the right sort of hotel for US. I know some people who would have been horror-stricken and fainted dead away. But I will let you be the judge if you should stay there. I see it as college kids, backpackers, and people who don't need pampering kinda hotel. It is a LOT like a hostel- in France or Russia, and you get what you pay for and a bit more in my opinion. I've stayed in much much better and I prob have stayed in worst. There are cracks in the walls, we did have to beg for towels, the AC wasn't working up to par, the stove was a strange being to me and I had to learn how to work with it and it is just sort of rundown. If you don't mind roughing it a bit without all the pampering, marble floors, chandeliers, an army of people to wait on you hand and foot, then why not stay here? It was really cheap! I stayed here because I'm just a regular college chick going to stay a week with her boyfriend and we wanted a kitchen in our room. I have a lot of traveling under the belt, so I was prepared for the worst. (I took almost 50 pounds of water with me, which turned out to be completely ridiculous seeing that Walmart is a 10 min bus ride away, and our hotel has their own little store selling everything you might need. )
Now, if you are going to go party and sun on the beach all day, and not be in your room very much then this is just what we went to do and got to do! You step foot out of your hotel gate and you are IN the hotel zone and the nightclubs are right there two buildings down! We took a bus everyday to go to Playa Tortuga, (spelling?) the beach that Fat Tuesdays is on and was the best beach in cancun to us. It is about 5 bus mins down the road from our hotel. I dont' think you could get any closer to the party zone than this hotel! The bass vibrated our room! OCEAN FRONT is what I stress to you, the crashing of the surf on the hotel lulls you to sleep. I can't wait to go back.
